This company is horrible! I was disrespected so badly by two of their employees at the Clearlake location. Reyna and Anna were very rude to me on several occasions. Reyna interrupted me very rudely while I was explaining to her about my torn sectional that I have a warranty on. I also had the phone literally hung up in my face by Anna. I have never been so disrespected by a customer service rep. in my life. In my opinion management is very good there but customer service must follow procedures and sometimes it can be confusing to our customers and with confusion comes frustration. So I used to think Bel furniture had some of the best quality furniture. Boy was I wrong. I bought a living room set for $2000.00 plus I purchased the 5 years warranty. Well that was a joke. I called 28 days after delivery because the wood was cracking, the material was bearing and fraying, the springs were coming through the seated part of the set. My father purchased a sofa from Bel Furniture about a year ago. First, they sent him a broken used piece of furniture from their showroom, which he had to have exchanged for a new piece. Now the back of the sofa is breaking and after multiple phone calls and visit to the store, they refuse to honor their warranty for stipulations that they never provided him with. Do not buy from Bel Furniture. Save yourself the hassle. We had a terrible experience after purchasing a mattress set. The sales rep was not truthful or knowledgeable and the manager was extremely rude. If you do find yourself in the unfortunate position of having to buy from Bel please read the fine print on whatever you sign very carefully and ask for a copy of it.
Dishonest sales tactics Sales associate Maria F. Lied to me about the price of a sofa set in order to obtain a sale. Upon checking my electronically emailed receipt after leaving the store I noticed an almost $200 difference in pricing. I called the store and eventually spoke with a gentleman in management who informed me Maria was there top sales associate and there must have been a misunderstanding on my part. I bought furniture there about 2 years ago. After the first time sitting on the couch I noticed it felt like my butt was itching. I played it off as it was the material. So after a couple of days my family started getting bites. So I started calling the store with no luck to return furniture. The supervisor was giving me the run around. I bought my furniture and a couple months later, the leather get cracked, and the foam inside was old, i went there for my 1 year warrantee and the dismiss my case and never fixed. I do not recomended this store to any customer.
i purchased a bed room set from bels about 3 years ago. it was delivered within a week. great experience. after the storm (harvey) i purchased living room furniture, no problems. delivery took longer this time, deliver time was 2 weeks with a $200 delivery fee. considering if was after the storm i understood. so now i send my daughter into the store to buy her a bedroom set and mattress. so the sells person told her delivery would take a month. that's crazy with on they web site they over next day delivery for $199.... read more
