Gravely disappointed. I had narrowed it down between **** ** ******* and Better when refinancing my home. I truthfully had a great experience with Better as I was given a competitive rate and good customer service. But when Better was unable to match **** ** ******a's rate of 3.75% compared to the best Better could do of 4.0% I was told that upon closing of my loan they will give me $1,000 dollars since they were unable to match. Excellent customer service.
Pros: they are very fast at closing Cons: they make a lot of mistakes. You need to know the terminology and be prepared to push back on things that are incorrect. Normally I would overlook mistakes but refinancing is a Big Deal. Mistakes included: - Tried to get me to renew my homeowners insurance policy more than 70 days out - Duplicated the homeowners insurance premium on Closing Disclosure - Payoff amount changed from being correct to being short by at least $20,000 - Partner's name incorrect on several closing documents ... read more
I just completed a Investment Condo refi. I got a VERY Competitive rate, CHEAP. I couldn't be happier with the professional and speedy way the loan was processed. We have apartments that we've bought and refinanced, this was the easiest one for us. I wholeheartedly recommend Better Mortgage
Amazing rate, beat another great offer from a competitor by $1,000, and the service was amazing. There was a problem about 1-2 weeks before closing and they worked really well as a team to make it right! I was skeptical that they could really beat other offers by $1,000, but it was the real deal. They are fantastic!!!
Very frustrating. The idea is great, but the execution is too clunky. Touted as easier because it is online, but the reality is that even local agencies are able to do online uploads and portals. It would’ve been worth the extra money I would’ve spent on closing, if any, in order to have the peace of mind of dealing with someone who took just a minute to understand my goal in refinancing.
