Get directionsBest experience I've ever had getting a loan. They were quick, helpful and easy. I almost want to get another one just to work with their staff again. Sean B**** was my closing consultant and he was amazing. Answered a hundred questions without complaint. I loved my experience with them.
Another bait and switch scam out there. They were not able to beat my loan estimate from another bank and promised me $1000 if I proceed with the loan. After the loan closed they did not deliver because I have rolled some of the closing costs into the loan, which I consider to be pretty common for a refinance (and better.com themselves claimed on their website to be able to do it). Will not come back again.

Other reviews were terrifying, so I went with another lender. The people were friendly enough, but I couldn’t risk losing my closing date or any hold ups without having an in-person person to talk to, especially with the amount of documents needed.
I worked with better.*** for 3 weeks, supplying a ton of information. They gave me all the details of my loan, locked in the rate, and told me I had to pay $550 for an appraisal (of a condo I bought 9 months ago). I paid for the appraisal and a week later they denied my loan because my FL condo was not "warrantable" - because at least 10% of the monthly fees were not allocated to reserves. excellent experience with better, I am a first-time buyer live in northern CA, true, it takes lots of courage to do mortgage online, but their staffs are easy to reach by phone, although with email sometimes went silent for 1 day or 2, yeah, this is the area that they should be improving. Horrible experience. The various team members didn't coordinate with one another and so no one knew what the other was doing. Constant miscommunication led to inaccuracies in the mortgage documents themselves and in the process (despite my constant pointing them out, they were still never corrected). When the notary came out, she had to come multiple times because she brought the wrong documents (and again, I had to point this out to her myself and then print new documents for her). Could not have asked for a better experience. Better.com provides great people, great service, and genuinely care that you receive your loan. They always answered promptly and walked me through the entire process. Great company and I can't believe I'm a first time home owner!! They are awesome!!
Better is extremely efficient. With this being my second time purchasing a home, I have found that Better has the process down. The seem to invest into the technology which helps streamline the process, however, the people are what made everything work. All of the people that I've worked with during the process at Better easily handled everything involved in obtaining a mortgage and were always there to help out with any questions or concerns. Amazing. I HIGHLY recommend Better as the Mortgage Experience was truly simple.
Just finished buying our first home with Better and it was super easy and seamless! It was so nice having a pre-approval letter that we could update and change as the possible houses changed and even the amount we were planning to put down changed.
