We were purchasing a Certified Pre-Owned 2011 X3 late in February 2014. We wanted to pickup on March 1st, a Saturday, but they would not honor the price unless completed by Feb.28th. For one when you are under warranty they try to repair as little as possible and always have an alternate excuse to the problems you explain to them, but out of warranty the prices are sky high, 180 to plug a odb comp in your car to scan for problems, $40 any other place for a diag, also i picked my vehicle up today from them, none of the fluids were topped off like manhattan bmw does or ray catena bmw does, they also were gonna let me drive off with a airless tire sitting on the rim??? Terrible customer service when it comes to service. Can't get my contact information correct. My husband and I both bought BMWs at around the same time and they call me when his is ready and him when mine is ready. Every time they update his record, it erases my information. Every time they claim they update mine, it erases his information. They take forever to service the vehicle. Promised turn around times are never kept - and things seem to take longer than necessary. I have spent over USD 30,000 in Dinan work at the Prestige dealership. My friend who is an ex-long time Prestige employee, dropped the car off for some recall work. The service manager CLAY VIENI gave her such a hard time and treated her very poorly. There is just no reason for any service provider to treat their customers like that. Car dealerships make a lot of money from their service business and should treat their clients with more respect.
NEVER BUY FROM PRESTIGE BMW. YOU WILL REGRET IT...... Bought a CPO 2011 328 from Prestige BMW in late 2014 which apparently had transmission shuttering before taking delivery..... Made an apt to take delivery of the car at 7pm and asked to make sure all the paper work was ready as I was traveling two hrs to pickup the car. Poor service and amateur-like shenanigans at a flagship dealership so close to BMW USA corporate headquarters, characterize my experience. Took our 535 i (which we purchased at Prestige) to get an oil change and other routine maintenance. Went to pick it up, and there were scratches on the trunk and dents, chipped paint and scratches on the hood and fender. We were looking to buy/lease BMW and what a disappointing experience we had! The people who answered phone , after 15 rings, when we called keopt going to salesman voicemail despite we requested to spak with someone . The sales person did not even have a cel number on his business card so we could not reach him too. I recently had my car in for repairs at Prestige BMW. It was bad enough that the repairs took 6 weeks, but the condition of my car when returned to me was horrible! The car was delivered to my work with barely enough gas left in the tank to get to a gas station. On the way to get gas, the car actually stalled out, it was THAT low! After getting gas, i proceed home only to find that they used up all of my washer fluid and never put any in. Beware of the so called "Certified pre-owned" cars. I'm the second person in my family to buy a CPO car from Prestige and it's basically falling apart. When you go to the dealer for repairs, nothing is covered under warranty. Parts literally fall off the car in the car wash. I think Prestige buys damaged auction cars and passes them off as "Certified". They just don't tell you it's a certified piece of junk!
