Brother Multifunction machine MFC 7360N I really like this device, because everything functions as it should. No complaints at all about what it DOES do. Print Scan Fax This is my first laser printer I have owned, so far it has done everything I have set it to do. enough said.
Constant difficulty working with a Windows 8 computer I dread having to print or scan anything with this machine. I know I will have to waste at least 10-15 minutes constantly restarting, possibly re-installing the printer drive--yet again! Brother seems to know this, too, because it's suggestion for the printer showing up offline is exactly what I do. And then it's still a crapshoot whether the printer shows up as connected. Sometimes documents start flying 20 minutes after I've done anything.
Use if for occasional scanning and printing I have used a number of Brother multipurpose printers. It handles printing and scanning adequately and I like the scanning software. It is much better than HP's although you need some technical knowledge to set up current versions of office and adobe software. They seem to move some of the settings to keep us guessing and it is usually is not an improvement. It is an inexpensive unit for light scaning and printing duties. This is the good, now the bad. Brother Printer MFC7360N Monochrome Printer with Scanner, Copier & Fax It prints very well, but I don't like that every time I want to print it highlights the fax portion instead of the printing choice. I haven't used the scanner and fax as of yet.
USB Plug stopped working the USB plug seems to be defective and no longer works. The connection appears to be failing and seems related to the usb plug on the printer.
Disappointed in the toner cartridge performance. Easy setup, nice printer, however the low toner message came on about 1 week after installing, no way were 2500 copies made. Disappointed in the quality of the toner cartridge.
Brother Customer Service is horrible. Brother Customer Service is horrible. The WILL NOT help you if you don't use their toner and drum cartridges. So, if you don't overpay for your toner and drums, then if you have any issue they will not talk to you further. If you do get one of these, save your original toner and drum so you can tell the customer service rep the serial number of those components or they shut you down. Continuing defective product I have had several versions of this product. My last one crapped out and Brother replaced it under warranty. It had a defective fuser. The parts diagrams show an updated fuser that i suspect Brother only uses when the MFC is returned. The new 7360n I have has the same problem as the refurbished older unit it replaces. The fuser is giving me a line in the exact same place. So now I have go after Brother for a replacement. Not worth buying the product.
