I would recommend The Lodge at Burcot Grange to any who would leave a family member to need special care. They make the whole family very welcome. The staff are well trained and nothing is too much trouble. The management team are also very inclusive.

My mum's dementia worsened a great deal over covid and in about April we had to move her to a new care home that would meet her needs. Burcot Lodge met all her needs and more. They were so caring, so professional and I thank them deeply for making what was a truly difficult time more bearable. At the end of my mum's life, I was there with my daughter and one of the carers. Since moving to Burcot Lodge in May, my husband has received the best possible care, kindness and dignity from all the staff. The staff are always cheerful and happy, creating a lovely atmosphere. The residents have a very good activity programme and occasional trips out. The home is beautifully maintained and a pleasure to visit, and I would recommend it to anybody looking for a nursing home for their loved one.

My mother moved into Burcot Lodge about 6/7 weeks ago. Following the passing of my father who was her sole carer, my brother and I knew we had to find a suitable home for Mum, who suffers from dementia. This move required her to move from Scotland to Burcot to be nearer to me. I contacted the Lodge at short notice and arranged respite for Mum for two weeks. In no time at all, Mom looked well and settled, the empathy given by the staff was outstanding! It was lovely to see them getting to know the person behind the illness and giving her lots of encouragement and distractions that kept her busy and content! Thank you to all the staff for their remarkable care and attention!

My dad moved into Burcot in December 2020, after his Alzheimer's symptoms had unfortunately progressed to a stage where he was unable to live independently any longer. From day one, we all felt assured we'd chosen the best place for him, as the staff were compassionate, friendly, professional and clearly dedicated to the welfare of each and every resident. My sister-in-law has been at the Lodge since last summer and the compassion, dedication and kindness is breathtaking! The whole team go above and beyond to make sure their residents are happy, healthy and settled. My Dad has been a resident at Burcot Lodge for a year. His care is always personalised and staff know me and my mum by name. My dad is far less anxious, had much fewer falls and sleeps better since moving in. He says he feels safe and enjoys the excellent meals and care he receives. Access through covid for relatives has been exemplary.

Generally a nice, caring, environment. Occasional issues with the en-suite not being as clean as we would like and food not being as good as we would hope, bearing in mind the cost. Dad is bedridden so I cannot really comment on the activities as he is, for the most part, unable to participate. All the staff are friendly and respectful, the odd one being exceptional.
