Love them because they take great care of my dog but will not let my dog sleep here overnight again because they did not follow my directions on how to feed him. But to end on a good note, I just left there and they always show so much love for my dog and since my dog is my only child, that's a great thing.
This has been my vet since I first got my baby boston terrier back in 2001, aside from a brief period when I moved out of town for a few years. I have absolutely no complaints. Dr. Bruderle ("Dr. B") and Dr. Fox are awesome, and I try to see them whenever possible. It is reasonably priced (hey, this is Chicago, not the boonies....it's not going to be supercheap!) for excellent quality care, and they are extremely compassionate. They will listen to you as well, and the front desk staff is awesome! Aside from routine vet ... read more
I cannot say enough good things about this vet. My boyfriend and I got our first dog together and, being first time pet owners, we get a little paranoid when things go wrong with him. All of the doctors here have been absolutely amazing at explaining things to us and helping us "learn the ropes" of pet-parenthood. The front office staff is always so friendly and accomodating and get us in quickly whenever needed. Their prices are a little high, but the peace of mind that comes with each exam makes it completely worth it. I d... read more
I've been using this vet since I switched from another South Loop vet a few years back when we had an emergency. Their staff has always been very considerate. When our dog passed, they made everything very easy to deal with. We have continued to use their services with our new dog. We've worked with at least three of the doctors and they are all great. The office is always clean, it's easy to make an appointment, and the staff is friendly!
I've been taking my cat here since 2005. I am a fan of this vet but I've only been to one other place in 7 years so I don't have much comparison. Recently, my cat had some hard to diagnosis issues and we've been working with Dr. Clack. She has been great in the patient care, follow-up and fiance department. First, she has been wonderful keeping us informed about all the possible issues with our cat and the recommended testing. Second, she is really accessible while at the office (and still jugging her patients) and eve... read more
You'll spend some money here, but it's worth it if you can see Dr. Fox. By far, the best vet in the city! He takes a lot of time with each patient (and owner!) and is extremely knowledgeable. Great hours and you can always score an appointment, even on a Saturday.
I've been a client of Burnham Park for years and have always found the folks to be caring and capable. When I lost my dog to a sudden illness last fall, Dr. Thomas was extremely compassionate and candid with me about her condition. Quite a difference from horror stories I've heard from friends about other hospitals pushing radical procedures with little chance of improvement. Their support through this difficult time has earned a loyal client for life.
I'm a huge fan of Burnham Park. I took my dog in for an annual checkup, so I could renew any shots and update her dog park license. It's a really small place, but not too busy, so it's easy to get an appointment for a convenient time. Additionally, they're open late (til 8) on weekdays and open Saturdays - score! My little guy is a little overweight after her first Chicago winter, but the doctor wasn't too disparaging. He was also quick to compliment me on keeping her coat nourished and teeth clean, which always feels n... read more
Dr. B and Dr. Fox are excellent with the animals, and the owners when there's bad news to deliver. Both my dog and cat have been patients and even as my cat was battling terminal cancer, they were supportive. After we had to euthanize my cat, they provided us with a free momento of his paw prints and name baked in clay. It was touching.
