I have been to one other vet clinic in the city and had a horrible experience. I brought my two kittens to Burnham Park for their rabies shots, distempers, and other vaccines. I have always been treated with kindness and been seen promptly. The front desk was accomodating with making, moving, and cancelling apts. The only reason I can not give BPAH 4 stars is because they are very expensive! If you love your pet a lot and have enough money to take them to a great place I highly suggest these people! This place was great! I just took my new kitten (7 mos) in for his checkup and it went very smoothly. I met with Dr.Fox, who was very considerate and gentle with my cat. He was informative, but didn't seem to be "talking down to me" like some vets do. He also was very flexible with my budget. Kitty has a tooth problem that needs to be taken care of and he explained the surgical options to me in detail and weighed the pros and cons, even changing the wording of the surgery a bit to get me a more affordable price, which I defi... read more

They might be a bit expensive, but also incredible helpful. The treatment that has been given to accommodate my dog and myself has been really good! I would recommend them to all.

Same day appointments... perfect for a person who's has many last minute meetings Dr. B... Always engages my dog and tries to make him feel comfortable. He didn't even know he was being given his bortadella booster. Nurses... Fun and make you feel reassured that your pet is in great hands. Whether it is for an annual checkup or when dealing with infections. Parking is never an issue either. You can turn your flashers on and park in the waiting zone. Saves you some money.

if I had not taken my cat here 2 months ago, I'm quite sure he would not be alive today. My cat became blocked on a Sunday night; I took him to the emergency vet center on Clybourn, where they catheterized him and took x-rays. This was his third blockage - and the last time he had been blocked I was told (by a Burnham Park vet) that he would need surgery if it happened again. this is a good place to go if you have a sick pet. my kitten marin got a uti and wound up being $300 for less than a 45 minute appt with some medicine. i think they are good vets who are good to the animals, but it is pricey.

I love this place! Dr. B is great. Both of my kittens have been treated by him, and one of them was in a cast for 5 weeks. For Xrays, the cast, the meds, and all of the follow up appointments, it was $381. I wouldn't call this cheap but I don't think it's expensive compared to vet costs either. Pets aren't cheap; if you don't want to spend money, get a pet rock. The care has been great and we were always greeted by name by the receptionist(s). The technician is absolutely amazing. I've been here in both an emergency and scheduled scenario, and both times have been outrageously expensive! I was happy with the service, however, the cost paid both times is enough to push the rating down. My pets are like my kids and I would do anything for them, so it's worth it, but I guess I will have the sneaking suspicion in my mind that I am getting raked when I pay $345 for a dog's annual shots and 1 year of heartworm meds--NOTHING ELSE! Really I would give them 3.5 stars, but I don't want to bump up to 4 stars as I think it wrongly suggests that things are good the way they are...and they aren't. I'd taken all of my pets to Dr. B for many years; I've referred numerous people to him and the experiences have all been positive with the exception of this one vet who is no longer there.
