This place USED to be great! We have been bringing our 3 pets here for YEARS. However, the quality of care has been declining; they have replaced some great doctors they lost with an incompetent doctor who does not even make eye contact with you when you are speaking with her. She has changed her mind about next steps with our dog at least 4 times so far in a 1.5 weeks period and is very unsure of her own diagnosis, which makes it very difficult to trust what she is saying. Do not take your animals to this vet if you expect your pet to live for another week. Dr. B allowed my dog to leave his office without running proper testing for my dogs disease, then lied and claimed that he did in fact tell us to take him to the emergency vet (which he never did) to seek further assistance with my dog. It was as simple as giving my dog prednisone that I already had available to me, yet "doctor" B didn't tell me the benefits of one test over another, proceeded to call the wrong person to relay test results ... read more

Most of the positive reviews here are from years ago when this was a well run establishment with careful care. However this place is now extremely poorly run, under construction, and not a good environment to take your pet. They are constantly late, poorly communicate, and very aggressive in their sales and marketing. Dr Tara Clack Bell has left the practice.

This was our first visit to Burnham Park Animal hospital, and most likely our last. We brought our pup in for an overall check-up, fecal and Giardia check as our neighbors dog recently came down with Giardia and we are bringing home a new puppy soon (and want to make sure our current dog is healthy). The request was made on the intake form and I had a thorough conversation with the vet tech (who took the stool sample) and the vet. Insane wait times at this place have been going for annual checkups for the last 2 years and just walked out because I've had enough. My appt was at 3 PM and as of 3:25 I still hadn't been let in a room. It's 79 degrees out and my dog was panting, like get it together! Last time I went I waited soooo long IN the room I was scared that was going to happen again! I took off time at work for this. I will be going to the other vet down the road with better ratings.

We wanted to love Burnham Park Animal Hospital because of the convenience - we had just moved close by, it was easy to make appointments, they do boarding, they have online records, etc. But in the 18 months or so that we took our dog there, there were so many red flags. Our dog was around 10 years old when we first tried Burnham Park and we adopted him when he was just a puppy, so we've had plenty of experience with previous clinics. When I moved to this neighborhood when COVID closures began, I was excited that I had a vet within great proximity. However, almost every time I have gone, there has been some issue. I met the Dr once at the last visit, and he seemed lovely, the assistants were always friendly, but the front desk staff was eh. TERRIBLE! Revolving door of INEXPERIENCED VETS who also LACK BEDSIDE MANNERS coupled with rude, lying front desk service staff who have absolutely no compassion whatsoever for pets. On top of the serious problems. they charge HIGH PRICES. 1. I have been taking my dog here for a year and a half. I have been pleased with the vets but the front desk workers are terrible. Very rude and often very unhelpful. Also, recently my dog was extremely sick and the vet tech suggested I just buy the food that they sell (shocker) even though I explained to her I knew it wasn't a food issue and I truly felt something else was going on.
