The service was terrible. although we are regulars who live in the neighborhood, our waiter today treated us with contempt - as if why were we expecting him to do anything. absolutely horrid service. I do not think that I will return after today's experience.
Why go to Cafe Fiorello? If you are going to an event at Lincoln Center it is very convenient. But, for those who know the restaurant from back in the day, it has changed hands /management a few times, and the food just isn’t as good as it used to be. With a little searching, one can do a lot better.

It was very bad.
Waiter was nonexistent until we gave back the bill. Food mediocre. Christmas decorations festive - the only positive in this restaurant
Not enough waitstaff. Part of meal did not appear until other guests were through eating.
Herded like cattle. I was shoulder-checked 4 or 5 times by staffers frantically pushing between the bar and patrons waiting for their tables. Busers, waiters, a hostess pushed into people—it didn't matter what level of service. I was pressed up against the glass partition but still kept getting knocked. THE PROBLEM WAS THAT MY GUEST AND I HAD A RESERVATION BEFORE THE OPERA. AS SUCH, IT WAS JAMMED. WE WERE ONLY 2 PEOPLE AND WERE SEATED AT A TABLE THE SIZE OF A CHESS BOARD. WHEN WE LEFT [AFTER THE PRE-THEATER RUSH], COUPLES WERE SITTING IN BOOTHS NOT ONLY WAS THE TABLE TOO SMALL FOR THE PLATES BUT I WAS CONSTANTLY BATTER BY WAIT STAFF. What has happened to this former favorite of mine? The menu was limited by several items missing. The item I ordered was not brought to me, instead they made a substitute without asking me. The service was slow and chaotic. I used to love this place.
