Terrible service. Came to take the dinner order before asking if we wanted drinks. Brought the appetizers out at the same time as the main course and was surprised we didn’t want everything at once. Tried to serve the dinner again while we were still eating the appetizers and tried to put the dishes down before clearing the plates. Never even asked if we wanted coffee or dessert.
I will never again go to that restaurant. To charge $5.50 for a glass (highball size) of iced tea is disgusting and unconscionable. It’s water and a tea bag.
Pretty average pasta -- diners do better (and cheaper). Strange table arrangement that stationed right behind waiter station. Only good feature was bottle of tap water on table that was regularly re-filled.
The tables are extremely small which makes people very uncomfortable. There's no space to put food especially with large plates. I would have ordered more from the menu but where would the plates go? On top of my head or on my lap?
The food had been great here. That's no longer the case.
We were very disappointed. The tables were so close together that we were practically eating at the next table. The noise level was so bad that we couldn't talk to our tablemates at a table of 5. The food was tasty, but the portions were enormous. If we knew that we would have shared. The Maitre'd was cordial, but the servers tried to remove our plates while we were still eating. We felt like we were being pushed out. The cost of the meal was far more than this experience merited.
We go here every time we go to Lincoln Center as we previously lived in the neighborhood BUT they ruined the birthday celebration for my 13 yo - I specifically requested a candle or an acknowledgement when my daughter ordered dessert BUT they “ forgot “ - I assumed once I reminded them they would do something, but nothing ever happened - we were just given the check 😳 I ‘kk just go to The Smith or the steakhouse next time
Piping hot plates but my food was ice cold as was my dining companion... sorry would not return
Very slow service.
