The price point reflects the proximity to Lincoln Center, but not the value of the menu item I chose. Perhaps the owner would consider limiting the menu to grilled pizza, salad, soup and appetizers at a slightly lower cost. I cannot imagine the $40 plus entrees are worth producing. The restaurant, including rest rooms, need to be cleaned more often; and staff needs to be more vigilant about insuring tables are also kept clean, and stocked with necessary condiments. The waiter was awful. Had to ask for bill 4x. Never checked once with us during the meal. Never refilled water glass. Wine glass had odor to it affecting the taste of wine.
This restaurant used to be excellent. Now, the only good thing is the bread, and you have to ask twice or three times in order to get enough for a table. Main problems: 1. Overcrowding, I mean AWFUL. This is like eating on the subway at rush hour. Horrible. You can hardly get into and out of your seat. We are normal-size people, not big or fat. We booked this restaurant for pre opera dinner because it's so close to the Opera house. Our waiter was OK at first but when I presented my $50 rewards gift card, he screamed out "Unbelievable! I don't know how to use the coupon! Unbelievable!" People around us look at us and we got very embarrassed. I received many rewards gift cards because I eat out a lot and spend money but when I use it, I get embarrassed because the waitstaff usually look me down as soon as they see the gift card. Perfect place to eat before and/or after events at Lincoln Center. Service and food absolutely first rate.

It is a shame the food is decent, the managers try so hard to please, and it is so convenient to LINCOLN center. Why is that a shame? Because the service is horrendous! We had a 5:45 reservation and advised waiter we had a 7:30 performance at LINCOLN Center. Our drinks arrived quickly and we ordered our meal at 6:03.
