Our waiter was disorganized. He insisted on putting the order in for our appetizers before he took our dinner order. So the appetizers came and we finished them but he never took our dinner order. We had to track him down and then we had to wait a long time for our entrees. The food was terrible. Lamb chop was all gristle, lobster ravioli was way too spicy and the seafood in the seafood risotto was overlooked and rubbery.

Cafe Fiorello is across the street from Lincoln Center, and as such, a very easy walk. The restaurant was bustling, but they honored our 6PM reservation immediately. We had an enthusiastic and friendly waiter, and he made some good suggestions. First course came pretty promptly, and then we waited. And waited, And watched people get seated near us, get their food. And we waited. And one couple near us finished their food. And we waited. And finally, our waiter came over and apologized, and send that he would talk to the mana... read more

I had heard positive comments on the restaurant but unfortunately the food was mediocre and the service was poor. Tables around us that were seated later than us had finished dinner by the time our order was taken. The waiter had no concept of timing.

I have previous good experiences in Cafe Fiorello, however I will not recommend it in days like Valentine's Day. Overall the service was bad, they were rushing us out the door, they forgot our appetizers and brought us our food 3 minutes after we ordered. So we really didn't get to enjoy a Valentine's dinner since they got us out the door in like 30 minutes.

This was a last-minute restaurant pick for a 7 pm show at Lincoln Center. While the servers were friendly and attentive, we asked for salad and soup to be served at the same time as the entree, and soup came right away. The other dinner, a delicious short rib, was served tepid, and the polenta was also cool; so detracted from the flavor. Then the salad came. We did make the show, but I felt that it was at the expense of a hot meal.

Came in for Valentine's Day. After careful review with opentable's app I booked a reservation. We where placed all the way in the back of the restaurant. In this crammed tiny area. While plenty of seats where available more upfront. The food was salty and not very appetizing. The short ribs did not sit well with me. I woke up the next day still feeling horrible from this dinner. I have no intention to come back here. I love trying new restaurants in the city, but this is a place I can do without ever again.

we come here for my wife's birthday every year, always after the opera. the previous years it's been a lot of fun. this year we had a very unfriendly waiter who spent all his time doting on a neighboring table, he had a really nasty vibe, I greatly dislike him.

THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME IN nEW yORK AND YOUR RESTAURANT WAS REFERRED TO US BY A FRIEND. WE WERE DISAPPOINTED MOST IN THE LOCATION OF OUR TABLE. tHE SERVERS CAME BANGING INTO OUR CHAIRS, WITHOUT EXCUSES. MAYBE BECAUSE OUR TABLE WAS RIGHT IN THE PASSAGE WAS TO THE KITCHEN. FOR THE PRICE, WE WERE EXPECTING BETTER SERVICE. THE FOOD....... OUR PIZZA CRUST WAS SO COOKED AND DRY THAT WE COULD NOT CUT IT WITH A KNIFE. THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME AND LAST TIME.

Placed at a table where the temperature was at least 80 degrees. Food was mediocre and cappuccino wasn't that great. Would not return.
