Not happy with a recent experience. I had a splash cover come off my RAV4. Online the part is $35 and it requires 4 bolts and clips to install. Probably took less than 10 minutes. They charged me $300 dollars saying their hourly was $195 per hour with one hour minimum. They also tried to add an environmental disposal fee which I disputed since I did not have an oil change and I had the part in my garage. I will find a more reasonable place next time.
Wrong part installed, miscommunication from the beginning, techs broke my key and tried tapping it with scotch tape, techs broke electrical box cover and mounting bracket, and when I texted the service manager to voice my frustration I was called an xxxxxxx. I went in because my new tow hitch and wiring harness weren’t lighting up my trailer. Good, but not sure they really check everything they say they do as person checked my floor mats were correctly installed and they definitely were not! My other friends have found the same thing happening so this makes one not truly trust what was checked.
The dealership (Toyota Camelback) is not interested in fixing a serious issue with my recently purchased (Toyota RAV4 XSE) hybrid vehicle.

Love the service department at Camelback Toyota, and have used it since my 2017 Toyota was new. I won't be able to come back, as I am 84 yrs old and on a fixed income. Never before had I needed to pay 3 percent for using my credit card. I never have an extra $800 to pay for service, so I have to pay my card over time. I will look for service that doesn't charge 3 percent for using my credit.
The process up until I got to the finance department was good. The finance department had me sign the terms of my loan and advised he would try to get a lower interest rate to include GAP insurance. I did not hear from them for 10 days. And had to sign new terms were my payments increased $60 without Gap. The process did not feel authentic.
Scheduled an appointment at 7 AM to get an oil change. Was told that the oil change would take an hour. Ended up getting out of there at 8:40 AM. Pretty ridiculous when an oil change takes about 15 minutes. Improve your scheduling.
I’m extremely unhappy with the service. I would assume a Toyota dealership is where my 2023 Tacoma would get the best service but I went in for an oil change and the Tech ripped my seat. Keep in mind I bought this truck less than a year ago. I reached out to my service rep and also left a voicemail for management and haven’t heard back. It doesn’t seem like causing damage to people cars isn’t something they take seriously or want to rectify ASAP.
