I'd rate zero if I could - Buyers beware I'd purchased a new Mazda5 with lifetime oil change back in Dec 2013 from Camelback VW, Subaru, Mazda. Today, during regular maintenance service, I'd felt pushed to a corner in signing the service maintenance which stated, "...final free oil change". Camelback VW will no longer honor the lifetime free oil change service I paid for in my sales contract. The reason given was that; 1) they are no longer a Mazda dealership (therefore couldn’t do a chargeback of oil change to) and 2) I did... read more

I visited Camelback volts wagon to have a recall done on I visited Camelback Volkswagen to have a recall done on my 2009 CC. After they were done with the repair, they handed me a folder with over $5000 worth of recommended services, most of which I just literally had done the previous two weeks. I informed the service person of this and we went and looked at the engine. He pointed out a little bit of oil overflow in a hollow and said that this was obviously a because of one of the problems. I drove it directly to the shop w... read more

Financial Smoke and Mirrors at VW Camelback I'll start off that I had a nice salesman; he was young and new to the auto sales biz. The financial practices at VW Camelback are deceiving and questionable. VW Camelback claims that they are a 'volume-driven dealership' and that they are not trying to optimize their financial margins, but this does not appear to be true based on several issues that I experienced with this dealership. The pay off of the loan of my trade-in vehicle did not occur in a timely manner and resulted in m... read more

Bad experience. Agents are highly inexperienced. We're leasing the vehicle for the first time, and wanted to know how the monthly payment is calculated and how the initial money down would be counted towards the principal. They kept most information undercovers until the final signatures with the finance consultant who is a Mr. Know-it-all. Twisted our arm to buy the warranty...the usual scare tactics. We showed TrueCar quote and they agreed to match initially, but when were signing the kept the same original amount...overal... read more

One of the worst experiences at a car dealership! My wife spoke to Airius McClellen over the phone and via email about purchasing a 2019 Subaru Forester. My wife made it clear to both Van and Airius that she had a car to trade-in. She was also very clear when she stated that the condition of trade in wasn't the best and she even gave Van the car's VIN number. Van confirmed that he understood that the car we were trading in wasn't in the best condition after he read the Carfax report but said it was no problem. My wife then i... read more

Business response:

Hi... In order to give an accurate price for a trade-in, the vehicle must be seen in person by our Sales Team. If a trade-in is discussed over the phone, a quote is given until the vehicle is seen. I greatly appreciate your feedback on your experience. Shannon Evenson Customer Relations Manager

Gawd Awful Experience with ZERO Communication Too bad negative stars aren't an option with crap of a dealership. So my son goes in to buy a car, needs a co-signer and they ask if I would be able to. I applied that evening and NEVER heard back, not from the sales person, the sales manager (Ya Daniel McCoy, you know who you are!). A few days go by still nothing so my son says lets go in, we go back and sit politely in a cubicle waiting for the sales person to do something, anything. No one shows so after 20 minutes we leave. T... read more

Thank you for the candid feedback on your experience with my staff at Camelback. It is unfortunate that you feel your visits to our dealership were unpleasant and negligent. Throughout each visit we stated that we were at the mercy of the banks, and did not have clear answers to give you. We would have been happy to sell you and your son a vehicle, unfortunately, it was not possible. We are happy to hear you found a vehicle that worked for him.

Lacks all integrity!!! After several visits and emails exchanged a price was agreed upon in writing for a new Subaru. We filled out all paperwork online, made appt. to come in to finalize sale. We were told to fill out paperwork again, showed additional vehicles, and given completely different price than what we had in writing. After keeping us for hours, they refused to honor the offer. What a SCAM!!!! This is a dealership lacking in integrity that I would caution you to think before doing business with.

Business response:

On behalf of the team here at Camelback Subaru, I sincerely apologize that you had an unpleasant experience. Thank you for taking the time to provide us with this feedback. The frustration you encountered due to the switching of vehicles (as the original vehicle had sold) is understandable. I appreciate the time you took to provide more insight into what happened, so that we can do our best to prevent it from happening again.

Unauthorized Charge and no response I authorized a $1000 refundable deposit to hold a price. Dan McCoy decided, unbeknownst to me, to charge me $3000. I sent several emails, even left a voice mail to get my deposit back with no response. Huge waste of my time, 3 weeks, to get the refund back through a dispute case with VISA. Glad I purchased from another VW dealer. Suggest you do the same. Garbage customer service.

Worst Service with no resolution! I took my 2018 VW Atlas into the Camelback VW (which is where it was purchased from) because in the morning after starting it up, there is a very strong gas odor inside and outside of the vehicle, It has been so bad at times that I end up with a headache or feeling dizzy. We can't drive with the windows up for at least 10 minutes or the smell is too overpowering. I took the Atlas in and told the service person that it is only first thing in the morning. He started it that next morning and ag... read more
