Here is the long and short: We needed a new dually tire because we got a nail in our side wall. My husband called several days ago and we were assured that the appointment was set and the tire would be ordered. My husband very specifically made sure to get a verbal confirmation to that point. Showed up this morning and no tire. That would be fine except the service advisor, Lafayette, acted like it was my husband's fault. This is the worst car experience I've ever had. Cleared a code and sold me a car. I had to pay 500 bucks. No second key given another 500 bucks. When I went in they tried to charge 5k over online advertised price.
What a joke! These guys respond to my initial review and give me an e-mail address to send my grievance to and what do you know? The e-mail is returned and says it cannot be sent due to an invalid e-mail address. These guys are something else. Again, STAY AWAY from capitol chevy service center unless you want your car worse off then when you dropped it off to them.
DO NOT BUY a pre-owned car from them. We bought a $18,999 car from them and the deceptively added $5000 to it. That is 28% of the amount of the car. They call it "pre-conditioning." I don't know what they condition. We got no floor matts, no second key. We were promised a spare tire kit for the car. They will not take my calls, and I've been trying for 22 days!! I call almost daily. We don't even have a Jack for an extra $5,000!! What a horrible experience. Shame on these people!
UPDATE ON 2012 TAHOE Just keeps getting better and better the mechanic checked out the truck and needs another motor. They are able to put in a certified used motor for $5000. Capital Chevrolet could HAVE fixed this for us and the problem would have been resolved. But they are not interested in making this right. When we mentioned we may take them to court the 3rd Manager we spoke to said, "good luck we are a fortune 500 company owed by Warren Buffett and you will never win this case". I received an offer to buy my 2021 Trailblazer at a guaranteed higher price than any other written offer from a Chevy dealer. When I went to the dealership I was told that my other offer was just a flyer and not valid. Eventually Capitol did honor the offer and agreed to me $80 more than the Houston dealer which also saved me a 300 mile round trip drive. I signed the papers and left my car there. Today I inquired about a new 2023 Equinox LT Capitol Chevrolet had advertised and I told them I would purchase it if the advertised price was the real sales price. Later today they called to let me know that they added almost $5,000 in MANDATORY JUNK FEES (my words), disguised as paint and fabric protection and tint. My 2023 camaro came in on 11/25/22, and all issues are still not resolved. I was told by my salesperson that the camaro came in with some body damage in transport, which I was understanding, I get that these things happen, and he was honest about it.
