Unethical and misleading advertising, from a fundamentally unethical company! When I purchased the policy, I asked the agent whether I could do any covered repairs at the dealership. The agent said "ABSOLUTELY!" What he did not tell me was that they will not approve original equipment (OEMs) or the labor rates of a typical dealership. They also "neglected" to let me know that they don't cover screws, hoses, and all sorts of auxiliary items that repair shops will not put back into the car in fear that they may fail. I purchased an extended warranty on a 2017 Chevrolet Malibu. The transmission failed on the vehicle and it was put into a Chevrolet repair facility for repairs. I filed a repair request through Carchex for the transmission and it was approved. Carchex purchased the transmission from a salvage yard and had it shipped to the repair facility. The first transmission was faulty, and another one was shipped from the same vendor. The second transmission was also faulty. I bought carchex on the 3rd of December, and took my car to a shop on the 30th for diagnostics. Turns out there were some codes that came up that needed my attention immediately, The shop called CarChex for a claim submission and Carchex stated it was an existing issue. After submitting numerous documents stating the original issue was fixed and this is an entirely new issue they stated the claim is staying in the denied state. Omg these people has been scamming everyone I see. I made all of my payments from January of 2024- November 2024. I was behind one 1 payment (February) which II made 2 extra payments the following month which brought my account to current. My policy never canceled. I continue to make payments up to December, I was told my policy was cancelled in November. They continued to take all my money and canceled me. They don't have any explanation of why and how it happened. This company is a huge SCAM. Please RUNNN.
The sales team writes checks that the service team has no intention of cashing. Total bait and switch. Everything is covered, unless we determine that we can get a cheaper part from China, and unless it takes your repair man longer than we said it should take him based upon this chart we have (likely from China also). Missed opportunity. I called into Carchex on November 1, 2024, while at *** ***** ***** service center. I spoke with to different customer representative that were ladies. Neither we able to locate my policy nor was there an empathy shown. The tone from each was condescending. One even chuckled. I called back and spoke with guy. My account pulled up for him immediately by phone number recognition. I asked for a supervisor I was told it would take 24-72 hour for a returned call. When you call for the warranty extension they tell you certain parts are covered, when you take your vehicle in for service they then say it's not covered. Bait and Switch is what they are doing at this company.
This is a waist of money. They only pay part of the cost for parts and labor. Then from that, they subtract your deductible. On a 1650 job, they paid less that 600. Canceling immediately
I was calling around to get quotes on Extended Warranties and I understand it is your sales person's job to close the sell on the phone. Because I am certain there is data out there that says if you don't close the sale on the first call, the likelihood of getting that customer after that, is very low.
