Adding this review after having it for 2 yrs. I have the titanium extended warranty coverage (by warranty group) on my z4 (had only 20k miles on it) back in 2016 (was very very skeptical until I had to use it). Had a DSC controller malfunction few months after I bought the coverage. No issues by my local BMW dealer in getting carchex to cover (with my deductible + small extra cost that wasn't covered) for the repairs. Carchex, has been absolutely phenomenal. I purchased the Titanium warranty for my 2007 BMW 750LI back in 2014 from Ken Park. This guy has been an absolute pleasure to deal with. I had the warranty for about a year and needed to take the car in for a noise coming from the engine compartment. From the time I dropped the car off at the BMW dealer, they sent out an adjuster and approved the repairs for the car with absolutely NO hassels at all. This is the worst company to deal with. I have sold my covered car and have been trying to get the coverage canceled. I have been passed around 4 times. Each time someone answers the phone, they claim they can't help me because I have an "unlimited mileage" contract and immediately transfer me. The customer service link on their site has a 404 error message so nothing can be sent via that link. I am a current Carchex customer. This review is not the route I wanted to take but it seems to be the only way to yield a result. I had a broken air conditioner in my car. I brought it in to get fixed and paid out of pocket. I later submitted a claim on the Carchex website for partial reimbursement. I submitted the claim on May 12 and never hear anything back. When I traded in my car, Carchex lied to me about when my contract began in order to get out of sending me money. My contract began in 2021 but I was told that, in 2021 instead of beginning, the contract was cancelled. In addition to receiving a reimbursement for a towing expense I incurred, work was done to my car in 2024 and 2025. ******** **** ****** worked for Carchex.
Couldnt even get a quote. The employee was too uncouth, idiotic and unprofessional to work with. ***** kept insulting me and taunting me.
CARCHEX is a complete scam. I encourage people to read all of the one-star reviews and come to their own conclusions. Research will save you money, time, and frustration. In addition, I suggest trying to engage with the website that they have set up to help with your decision. You will find that the website is inoperable. This company is Nothing but trouble it keeps billing my card and I have had a Run around every time I talk to them They had to refund my payment last month now they charged my account again. I just got off the phone and a person told me that the policy is canceled but they never put in a stop payment. He said he would get it fixed but we shall see. Would NOT do any business with them at all.
