Do not give these scam artist any of your money. We signed up two vehicles, one below 50,000 miles and the other below 92,000 miles, for the platinum coverage. We had a transfer case failure on our 2008 Ford Edge (which is very common on these as our dealership does 3 - 5 repairs on this issue per month). I cancelled my Extended Warranty today through Carchex (actual warranty company is ******** **** ******). My auto dealership informed me that they would not work with ******** **** ****** aka CarChex because of non-payment of claims. Obviously this warranty holds no value to me if my dealership refuses to work with them due to non-payment of claims.
After failing to fund my car repair in full, a “customer service” representative agreed to send me a check for $150 and skip my next monthly payment. Nothing has happened! I am in the process of dropping my account and starting a new account with *********. Stay away from CarChex and find another company!
This place is totally fraught they misleading people saying one thing in a contract and when it comes to it they doing something else I had the worst experience with those people they are liars cheaters and frotting cheating people I hope nobody else deal with car checks they are really a fraud I hope no one else get ripped off like me that's all I'm trying to say
BEWARE !! - if your reading this it’s probably too late… I tried canceling my refund weeks before the 30 day and received cancellation progression emails, in which they did not honor when they charged me again 09/11/2023. I took out a warranty with carchex warranty company on August 4th 2023. July the 21st I had to take my vehicle to the shop. When the shop called me and told me what it was going to cost $8,000 I was sick. I knew they would not pay that much for my vehicle to be repaired. I called customer service at carchex. The gentleman looked up my policy. He was amazed that I had got the Royal protection plan. But he said it would cover my vehicle to have my shop file a claim. Recently signed up for CarChex extended auto warranty. At first I was pleased with cost and service. Started warranty 7/11/23. Was promised documentation both by mail and email. NEVER received paperwork as of 7/21/23, I did receive an email which was had limited information with notes of what is not covered. When I signed up I was told one thing and now the email DID NOT cover what I was told it covered when I signed up. Waiting 3-5 days for refund. Suspecting a scam.
Stay away from this company! I signed up for my warranty in 2020 for 100k miles $3,667, paid it no problem. My Audi Q7's engine needed to replace, well the cost was $32,000. so I had to get rid of the car. Called Carchex for my refund because I had only drive 45,024 miles will under contract and incurred $1832.40 in claims that the company paid out. I bought a car warranty with Carchex on May 21, 2023, my father had just died when I found out, I had a list I needed to get done before leaving for Billings Montana, this call was top of the list.
