I purchased the Titanium package from Carchex in 2019 and never had to use the policy until today. This package was supposed to be close to bumper to bumper. The only thing they covered was 10% of the labor and parts. The rude agent explained labor is expensive now because of inflation. I paid $7,000 for this policy. inflation should not matter that is part of the plan they sold. it stated in the details of my plan if it's a covered repair they will cover 100% now they are giving BS.... of inflation. Carchex dragged its feet and scrutinized Claim# to pay for the repairs. Instead, the claims adjuster repeatedly requested prior service documents to verify that I kept the vehicle maintenance in compliance with Lexus service maintenance. I purchased the Titanium package from Carchex on 8/15/2022 for my 2016 ****** F-Type R. Policy number (**********) The vehicle recently had over heating issues so I had the car towed to the nearest ****** dealership on 5/4/2023. After the dealership did their diagnostic they contacted Carchex for permission to repair the cooling fan and two other items that were covered( motor mount, axel shaft). The sales supervisor told me coverage that was not true. I was told they don’t use used parts that it is same or like parts. So an Air conditioning part went and they told dealer they were going to send them a used part or give $85 credit. I had to pay the $400 difference. Then they wouldn’t pay for all the Freon it required and I had to pay the difference It was suppose to be a $100 deductible but ended up being +$700 and 9 days of waiting on them to approve and pay the claim and get my car back. We had a problem with our auto air conditioner. We took it to a ********* repair shop, one of four places recommended by CarChex. ********* immediately diagnosed the problem and sent the information to CarChex (associated with ******** **** ******). CarChex and ******** **** ****** found every way to block our claim, apparently hoping we would just drop it. I am concerned about Carchex, who writes policies for ******** **** ******. I believe that they knowingly write policies for this company knowing it has multiple complaints with BBB & terrible reviews with many garages & dealerships will not accept *** because of their extremely poor customer service & refusal to pay on claims. I have advised them that they should stop writing policies for this company because customers are getting ripped off. These people are absolutely awful and clearly don't give a crap about customer service. I have always had my car under an extended warranty. They never called, emailed or contacted me to indicate that the warranty was ending (WHO isn't called daily by warranty companies?) I only noticed in my bank statement that they weren't taking payment. I quickly them (!) called to re-instate it, which to them apparently was a new policy. This company is total scam and plan to cancel. I had a modulator go out in my truck, an OEM part from Chevy is $800 filed a claim and Carchex said they would only pay $500 cause that is where they could get the part from. No warranty on the part, not an OEM part, could be used, no idea. Of course no dealer is going to accept an aftermarket part that controls the brakes, and trailer brake system.
