If I could give them negative stars I sure would. Why is it u sign up on the phone all information on the phone but to cancel writing and mailing a letter. That is ridiculous to me and will NEVER recommend this company and if I hear anyone talking ABOUT Them I will steer them away. How they ever got an A+ rating with the BBB I will never understand. Is it the BBB is as crooked as all these companies.
Seems to be a reoccurring theme here, I was told I would get my refund for canceling this service 45-60 days out I received conformation of canceling on July 8th and have called and emailed to follow up on return status to no avail cant even get a response back from them I would not recommend this service as they are rude and unhelpful. As was said before there is no reason in the day we live in with electronic banking anyone should have to wait this long certainly didn't take that long to withdraw it from my account ?
STAY AWAY!!!! I had this for two months and when I tried to cancel I had to leave a message for the customer loyalty, waited a couple of days. Decided to email and waited a day. Finally told customer service that I was going to dispute with my credit card. Finally a live person called me and told me I had to write a letter. WHAT *****
This is BS company with obscure contract language. They, Carchex hire an Administer, Royal Administration Services Inc. that arbitrarily sets labor rates and parts cost they will authorize. Carchex has nothing to do with claims authorization. They pay half of the dealer cost to fix my Mercedes. It's a great deal until you need it. I had a $1000 bill to fix the computer that runs everything. Minus a $200 deductible they're administrator authorized $300 for parts and labor. I'm stuck with a $500 bill.
BE CAREFUL, these people are dishonest, they play stupid, and they charge you more, that experience touched me, I tried to buy insurance for my car, almost 10,000 and when I told them yes, they charged more than what they told me I tried that they return my money and they only made excuses that the system does not work and that the people who return the money have already left. your lack of transparency and dishonesty, cancel the policy. be careful with these people, a certain wilson or walter attended me and when we asked h... read more

Carchex, like all the rest of these kinds of warranty companies, will do anything and everything to find a way to deny your claim. They proposed to put an aftermarket remanufactured alternator on my car and then refused to pay the ******* dealers labor rate. Then denied the claim because the alternator was charging the system, but the bearings were failing and making a horrible rattle. Don't buy an extended warranty form this company. My 3-year old car was in an accident and declared a total loss in April. I immediately notified CarChex of the accident and total loss and completed the form necessary for a cancellation. I received an email to "allow 45-60 days for the refund to be processed". I called today more than 60 days after the cancellation process was completed and was told they meant 45 to 60 "business days" which extends the refund for nearly 3 additional weeks. I have filed a complaint against this organization before and will continue to file a complaint so people will realize that this company is a VERY BAD company. As mentioned before they are very nice, sweet, kind and outgoing until they get your money and you go and try to file a claim. Very bad customer service, well the cs its great when they're trying to get you to sign up. They will even tell you you can cancel wthout any hassle. I diced to cancel and came to find out that i had to write a letter requesting a cancelation! Then its gonna take time to get my money back. If you cancel because you sold or traded vehicle, they want proof. If its totaled, they want a police report. Thats just ridiculous. Why not just have an online cancelation link.
