I've worked with a lot of great vets, but Dr. Brian Neumann will always be the top one on my list. I recently lost my dog, Crikey and Dr. Neumann was there every step of way, not only as his vet, but the emotional guidance that was clearly needed for me. I will never forget how hands on with me he was and how the staff was so professional, caring and always smiling, but also empathetic. Of course, I've dropped his name to most of my friends. Thank you all at Caring Hands - Alexandria for everything! Stacy

Caring Hands is a really wonderful veterinary practice, the type that other practices should model off of. They are quick to call you back, they check in with you after each visit, and we have never had an issue getting a regular or emergency appointment. Given that we have a Goldendoodle, we have made A LOT of calls and visits in his first year and have seen just about every vet and vet tech in the place. I booked an appointment with CHAH after reading reviews online. One perk is that it's only 5 minutes from my house! I just adopted a new cat, Bitsy, and needed to schedule a yearly exam. My online appointment request was promptly answered and I was able to schedule an appointment on my preferred day at my preferred time. Prior to moving to the area, my family and I had one primary veterinarian office that all of our pets over the years would visit for any and all of their veterinary needs. Naturally, once we arrived in Northern Virginia, we were very precautious with choosing the right veterinary office for our golden retriever. The office is always very clean. The veterinarians are extremely thorough as well as the techs. During our last visit my dog had an arrhythmia and the way it was handled by the staff was kind and reassuring. I appreciate their knowledge and time. They are definitely very thorough and informed. I feel good leaving my dogs care in their hands. This girl is pretty priceless, but it's also nice they don't charge and arm and a leg.

I absolutely agree with this 5 star rating. Superb staff, who absolutely handled my geriatric Ocicat with the utmost "caring hands" possible. I will no longer consider any other vet, and will highly recommend Caring Hands at every opportunity.

We love taking our cat to this vet. Very impressed with their knowledge and care. Our cat is scared of everything and they manage to make her calm.

I can't say enough good things about these vets and vet techs. They are always so helpful and take time to discuss your animal's health and all the available treatment options. We have seen almost everyone at the practise, sometimes at extremely short notice, and they always try their best to help. They did an exceptional job with a difficult cleaning and extraction with my cat's teeth, and she was not over-sedated. Caring Hands is just out of this world amazing. The care and compassion that they show my dog is so lovely, and I've experienced this with everyone from the front desk to the vets. I feel this way about both the Van Dorn and Glebe locations and would recommend either, but I usually have better luck scheduling appointments here. My pup is a rescue and she can definitely be skiddish with people she doesn't know, but the vets/vet techs here are always kind and understanding.
