We took our new rescue to Caring Hands on the recommendation of friends who've had great experiences there and are so happy that we did! The techs and the front desk staff are all incredibly helpful and patient, especially with a new rescue who's been through a lot of transistor and is a bit timid. I've been very impressed with Caring Hands. Choosing a vet can be so scary, because you want the best for your pet without breaking the bank. I ended up giving Caring Hands a shot because of the other positive reviews, and I'm so happy I did. Although it's a little on the pricey side, the care and service provided more than makes up for it. My cat absolutely hates traveling, and hates the vet office, (what cat doesn't?), but I've never had a vet more patient with him. If I could give more than 5 stars for this review, I would. Without going into a long story, I ended up at Caring Hands twice this past week, and unfortunately, the 2nd time was to have my kitty euthanized. I cannot even begin to put into words the compassion, the understanding, the professionalism, that was exhibited by the entire staff at Caring Hands. I have tried several vets in the Alexandria area over the past 20 years, and Caring Hands is exceptional. Their prices are great and the staff is always so happy and polite. Plus I am always able to get an appointment quickly and usually when I want due to the large number of vets they have on staff (which are all equally good). I highly recommend the Van Dorn location.

I don't often write reviews but felt compelled to give a shout out to Caring Hands, Alexandria. Been bringing my Persian cat to Caring Hands for the past few years and can't say enough about the vets, techs and staff there. My 14 year old Persian ended up with a fast growing cancerous tumor earlier this year and Dr Neumann was wonderful in offering options and then supporting our decisions. I first came to Caring Hands a month ago when my favorite cat stopped eating. The vet hospital I used to go to for 14 years got to be too booked up all the time. I could never seem to see the same vet twice in a row because they were always too busy. They told me they didn't have an open appointment for 3 days! Nothing but patient, loving vets and techs. Theyre caring & really take care of your pet. Prices are incredibly reasonable and its always clean. Plus, they really are considerate when the human asks a thousand rediculous terrible questions. Theyve been absolutely helpful in preparing for a cross country move! Also, their is a petco unleashed two doors down, an awesome coffee place next door & a delicious kabob villa while you wait! Also, always answer phones, emails & can always pull up your pets file!

We've been bringing our dog Bear here for almost two years now and love the staff, service and care! We joke our dog likes getting hurt/sick, just so he can visit his friends at Caring Hands. We've seen almost every vet there and had him in for various procedures (neuter, xrays, infections, etc.) and each time the service is always great. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they each genuinely care about the animals. We always feel like our dog is in the best hands there. Can't recommend them enough!

I recommend the excellent care of Dr. Planeta and Dr. Neumann.
