I have been going to the Arlington location (cloer to my home) for 4 1/2 years and love them! My review is regarding a recent visit to this location. I had been dealing with a sick dog for about week and half and had a final incident that made me take him in. While they did not have an appointment open, the did put me down for a "fit in" appointment. I was told there could be a wait. I arrived, friendly staff met us and we were seen rather quickly. Today was my baby's first vet visit and it was great! The staff is so friendly and courteous. The facility is very well maintained and clean. I was a little nervous for my baby but Dr. Planeta and her tech were awesome. I think my baby actually enjoyed her visit. We will definitely be going back for my pet's visit. I'm really glad we found such a great facility so close to home.

Recently moved to the area, and it was hard to choose a new vet for my dog. Of course I want the absolute best for him, and I am so thankful that I think I found it in Caring Hands! The office was clean, staff friendly, and the approach made me feel really comfortable as a new client. Having lived in seven different cities across the nation, I have learned to be picky when it comes to veterinarians. I cannot say enough good about Caring Hands Hospital in Alexandria. From the front desk to the vet assistants to the doctor herself. Kitty was nervous, yet they knew everything to do to make her ease her stress and make her comfortable. I have never had a bad experience at this location in the 5+ years I have been a client. I have been lucky to find Dr. Planeta to care for my dogs - I have no complaints whatsoever. She takes the time to explain things during visits and via phone calls, and I truly believe she loves her work and it shows in the care she has provided to my dogs throughout the many years and visits we have had. I'm revising the review because Dr Evans, who is also the practice's medical director, called to clarify the situation with me later that same day. While my original experience was still pretty terrible, it was nice to know that at least I was simply given incorrect information by the receptionist, and that they do not actually abide by that policy to require a test in exchange for heartworm medication. I recently visited Caring Hands on S. Van Dorn for the first time. I have just adopted Max, a young rescue dog, and was there for our first general checkup. I am in my seventies and have had dogs my whole life and this was the best veterinary experience I have ever had. The vet, Dr. Neuman, even got down on the floor and played with Max.
