The care provided by Dr. Rossi and the staff was exceptional. Our sweet boy, Sultan stopped walking, eating and drinking so rather than take him to our regular vet (Banfield) we tried to get him into the Regional Vet Referral Center in Springfield because we knew he would need some type of imaging that Banfield couldn't handle. After reading some of the 1 star reviews, I was hesitant, but I took my granddaughter cat (based on prior good visits), and am so glad that I did! This place is even better!! The staff was excellent! Everyone was very patient, thorough, and kind!!! And.... the doctor was superb!!!! Dr. Brian Neumann is there full time, and he provided excellent care to our cat. He also was very patient and relatable, and took the time to 'hear' me. This was a GREAT experience!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!

We used Caring Hands from 2015-2019, when we moved a little farther away and decided to change vets. BIG MISTAKE. Recently, we had to make a difficult decision to put down our 13.5 lab mix as she was no longer able to stand, go to the bathroom, barely was drinking and not eating normally. We called our "new vet" and they were not able to get us an appointment for 8 days, even after explaining the state our dog was in - they also showed no compassion and I was told the best they could do was the appointment in 8 days or we... read more

Caring Hands vets + staff are amazing! When my husband and I adopted our first pup, we took him here and had a great experience. We ended up moving 25 minutes away though, and found a vet closer to us. While they were nice enough, there was a noticeable difference in the overall vibe/dynamic. I have been looking for a vet in the Northern Virginia area for a long time. I had my pets at another in the area several years ago, but they were EXTREMELY expensive. So I had been going to a vet in Fredericksburg. I am also very particular and I like a practice that doesn't act like you are bugging them by asking questions. The staff at this location is great. Scheduling is easy and everyone is always friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, my 4 year old dog Charlotte had multiple medical issues in 2019. She had an oral cyst that needed removal and just a few months later had unrelated health issues that lead to the discovery of a liver shunt. I don't leave reviews much, but I have been using CHAH at Van Dorn practically since they opened. Before I was using Alexandria Animal Hospital and I hated the way I felt like I was constantly being guilted into more procedures and expensive care options. Not the case at CHAH. They have taken great care of my dogs every time I go and now with a very elderly dog with complicated medical needs they have been amazing with realistic options for his continued treatments. As a refugee from Belle Haven Animal Hospital and Collection Agency, I'm delighted to find there are still such things as friendliness and courtesy in "front desk" staff/reception. (After years at BHAHCA, I thought boorish incompetence was the new normal.) It's also nice to have energetic, attentive, happy veterinary doctors who are more interested in the pet and the customer than in running up the bill.

Dr. Wells is awesome! I'm so thankful to have found a friendly and compassionate vet for my pup. I scheduled an appointment because I was nervous about choosing the best age to have my dog neutered. Dr. Wells took the time to answer all of my questions and was very patient throughout. The surgery went great, and Dr. Wells stayed in contact with me afterwards to ensure that my puppy was doing well with his recovery. The front desk and vet techs are always very kind and helpful as well. I highly recommend this office!
