I don't leave reviews much, but I have been using CHAH at Van Dorn practically since they opened. Before I was using Alexandria Animal Hospital and I hated the way I felt like I was constantly being guilted into more procedures and expensive care options. Not the case at CHAH. They have taken great care of my dogs every time I go and now with a very elderly dog with complicated medical needs they have been amazing with realistic options for his continued treatments. As a refugee from Belle Haven Animal Hospital and Collection Agency, I'm delighted to find there are still such things as friendliness and courtesy in "front desk" staff/reception. (After years at BHAHCA, I thought boorish incompetence was the new normal.) It's also nice to have energetic, attentive, happy veterinary doctors who are more interested in the pet and the customer than in running up the bill.

Dr. Wells is awesome! I'm so thankful to have found a friendly and compassionate vet for my pup. I scheduled an appointment because I was nervous about choosing the best age to have my dog neutered. Dr. Wells took the time to answer all of my questions and was very patient throughout. The surgery went great, and Dr. Wells stayed in contact with me afterwards to ensure that my puppy was doing well with his recovery. The front desk and vet techs are always very kind and helpful as well. I highly recommend this office!

I was running away from my old vet "Colonial animal hospital" due to the rude secretary and mediocre care and fell upon this gem. As soon as I walked through the door I was greeted extremely warmly and the two front desk personnel could not be more friendlier and helpful. They had a welcome sign for my pet and listened to all of my concerns for my pet. Within 5 minutes I was escorted into a clean and nice smelling room by an extremely vet tech named Olivia. Brought my dog Bella in yesterday for her annual exam and rabies shot and the staff was wonderful! Dr. Wells and her assistant Amber were great!

Everyone was nice and patient, it was my first time here. The front desk ladies were very nice and funny, love to see that energy! The nurses and veterinarian was nice and gentle with my doggy, love seeing that. Love everyone there.

I love all of the caring hands animal hospitals. I'm going to leave a review on the Glebe locations page too. I bounce between locations depending on how quickly I need to get in to see a vet for one of my fur babies. No matter what location I'm at the staff is always friendly! I love that they always call and check up on your babies after the visit to a few days later. It gives you time to think of any questions or if they aren't doing well you have someone to talk to. Definitely recommend this vet!

Fortunately, I don't have to take my dog in too often but the vets always remember her. They are always very kind and gentle with her and they take great care with her. It's a bit of a hike for me to get there from where I live, there are vets who are closer to my home, but I appreciate CHAH staff and doctors so much it's worth it to go a little out of my way.
