I will still give it 4 stars, but I wish I could give it a 4.5. Since my last review, I've only had one particularly bad experience. My 14 year old DSH had blood coming from her mouth and seemed very uncomfortable. When the vet looked at her, they just said she had chin acne and sent us home with instructions to use stridex wipes. That same night, my cat couldn't touch her food and looked miserable. We started taking our cat Murphy here in 2009 when we moved from a referral from a friend. Fortunately the first 4 years of visits were primarily yearly checkups for a healthy cat. We saw a variety of doctors, all of which we have been happy with. The assistants and front desk staff are great and very nice. The story really starts in October of 2013. I have used this facility for years and generally had very good experiences. The staff is friendly, MOST doctors outstanding, understanding and patient with my not so patient dog. Over the past 2 years though I noticed that they are never on time, I have to wait at least 20 minutes up to 40 minutes for my dog to be seen, and that without them being involved in some emergency. Front desk was very fast and efficient. The assistants were extremely nice and the Doctor was young and easy to talk to. I didn't give it five stars because it was just an exam. I'll update my review once something needs to be done outside of a simple check up.

I LOVE this vet. I had original chosen this vet based off of location to my apartment but I am so glad I live so close to a wonderful vet. In the past 5 years I have seen 4 different vets (my cat is still young so I only do the once-a-year visits, so I am flexible as to vet) and they have all been wonderful. They have late hours so it has never been an issue to bring my pet in after work. Very helpful and caring staff. I'm assuming that's why they chose their name. We have never had to wait long to have our little ones checked out. Their prices are a little high but are very reasonable for the proximity to the city. Great place!!

Our first trip to Caring Hands was an emergency visit with our 1 yr old english bulldog who was okay when I left for work in the morning but a completely different (vomiting, diarrhea, extremely lethargic) dog when I came home. I was scared that wherever I took him, I was going to end up paying an arm and a leg for an emergency visit, tests, and any medication. Caring Hands took him right away! Cannot say enough good things about CH!!! I always used a vet out in Herndon, even though I have lived in Arlington for nearly 10 years, but after my dog got bit by another dog the other week, I needed to find a vet immediately. We arrived before they opened (the snow storm the day before resulted in their delayed opening). Waking up to a sick puppy is one of the worst ways to wake up. You're tired but adrenaline kicks in, your canine best friend cuddles next to you and looks up at you with those sad sad puppy eyes and you know it's not good.
