Love this place for our baby! Very friendly & knowledgeable staff. He had his teeth cleaned with no issues and his follow-up appointment was a breeze. Definitely recommend these guys.

I purposely became a yelp reviewer just so I could give Caring Hands a good review. The entire staff is caring, attentive, professional and prompt. We first started going to Caring Hands because our dog had gone there previously with her old owners. When I moved to my new condo in Arlington I went in search of a new vet for Daisy the Wonderdog and chose Caring Hands Animal Hospital based on the yelp reviews. I am very glad I did. The staff are friendly, attentive, and caring. The vets - we've seen several - are knowledgable and kind. When my dog had to have a cancerous lump removed the vet kindly repeated everything she told me twice because the first time she told me I was so upset I couldn't write anything down. Being fairly new to the area - with few friends to give us recommendations - we are always nervous about finding service providers. One type of provider that we really anguish over is who our vet will be. In the past, we have worked with the vet service of a major pet supply company. I love Caring Hands Hospital. I was adopted 17 plus years ago by three kittens, all litter mates. Dr. Jeffry Newman has been their vet since I moved to Arlington in 2001. I lost one of my babies to kidney disease this past January. Dr. Newman and his staff helped me during the difficult time calling throughout with lab results and kind words even after hours. The care my cats and I have received has surpassed what is required of a vet and even to this day he continues to inquire about my cats beyond the usual check-ups.

Caring Hands is not our regular vet as we already have a contract with another vet, but a few weeks ago one of our dogs (my fiance and I have two small dogs) was attacked by another dog at the dog park. He needed immediate attention and our normal vet's office was already closed as it was past 6pm. A kind man showed us the way to Caring Hands and must have called them to let them know that we were on our way because when we showed up, the staff was already ready to take care of our dog who had to get several stitches. We have been taking our pets to caring hands since March of this year. We have impressed with the friendliness of the staff and how they handle our typically shy dogs, especially Dr. Jamie Todd. It can be hard at times to get a quick appointment, but my only issue in doing so has been if I am inflexible about the rest of my schedule; they usually have something open if you make the time. I started taking my puppy to the clinic in Alexandria and have had nothing but good experiences. The doctor and the staff really seem to care about animals and my puppy is always fully examined and he loves getting treats there. When I told them I was going to take him to obedience/socialization classes they fully supported me and told me what a great idea that was. Unfortunately, we experienced some of the unpleasantries mentioned below, HOWEVER I addressed my concerns via the contact us/ feedback portion of the Caring Hands website and I received a timely and sincere response.
