We just switched to Caring Hands. Clean, bright, spacious facility. It doesn't have that nasty smell that some vet offices have. Technician, front desk and doctor were all wonderful. They were friendly, competent and professional. Doctor disclosed price on all treatment options as they were discussed. I appreciated that very much. They keep a vet on call which I like. I highly recommend this vet.
This review might change, but for now, I can't tell if these people are good or not. Service is outstanding, the people there are really friendly, but so far, the doctor I've had thus far has not impressed me. Please let me know if you want more details about who it was, but I'll try not to skewer him/her too bad on a public forum. Our cat Mellow goes to Caring Hands Animal Hospital. I give it a 4.5 stars but since I really do like this place I'll give it 5 stars and here is why. 1. The vets there are AMAZING. They actually spend time with the animals and do a thorough check up. 2. The facility is really clean, upbeat, and overall very good environment. 3. I went here for my first time today and had the best experience!! My cat has fleas and I was dreading taking him in because he hates being in the car/going anywhere. Dr. Todd was so wonderful and he instantly felt comfortable with her. The staff was beyond friendly and accommodating the entire time. I will only be going here from now on!!
Consistently excellent care--a little pricey, but worth the peace of mind. Dr. Newman in particular did an excellent, compassionate job diagnosing our new puppy with parvo, a life-threatening illness, and referring him to the right animal ICU for care. All the staff are enthusiastic and friendly animal lovers.
Caring Hands staff is amazing. I have moved a distance from the Arlington office but still will take my dog there and only there. I highly recommend them without reservation.
Caring Hands and specifically Dr. de la Cruz is outstanding. I have 3 greyhounds. There are dogs and then there are greyhounds. There physiology is so different from other breeds that I don't trust their care to just anyone. I have had bad experiences with other vets who didn't know or understand how different greyhounds are. I have a set of questions to ask the vet before they touch my greys. Dr.de la Cruz was most gracious in anwering my questions and got them all right. We have been taking our dog Bear to Caring Hands in South Arlington for over two years. Dr. Miller is absolutely amazing and always goes out of his way to make our dog comfortable. He's extremely knowledgeable and always takes his time explaining everything to us and answerings our questions. The entire staff has always been friendly, accommodating, patient, and well organized. Though we recently moved out of Virginia, we took our cat there for the 4 years we were in the area. Last August, our cat virtually stopped eating. We thought it might be a dental issue, and Caring Hands staff recommended running blood tests prior to doing dental work to clear him for anesthesia. The bright side: no dental problems. The down side: chronic renal failure, which is terribly uncommon for a cat his age.
