This is the vet I use for both my dog (5 year old dachshund mix) and my cat (2 year old orange tabby). I've had really remarkably great experiences at this vet. I've seen at least three of the vets over the past few years, and I've found each to be warm, caring, and genuinely interested in building rapport with both my animals and me. We've been here both for routine care and urgent care, and all of our experiences have been great. The receptionists are super welcoming and never make you wait long. The vet techs have also be... read more
My husband and I have taken our two cats to the Arlington branch of Caring Hands Animal Hospital for about four years, and our dog for two years. Each time we've dealt with the receptionist staff we've received nothing but kind, prompt, and courteous service. They not only help with normal receptionist duties, but show a genuine interest in your pets. Our first visit to Caring Hands was with Dr. Newman, who diagnosed our cat with a mast cell tumor. Dr. Newman did a wonderful job of explaining the disease, outlining the p... read more
Caring hands is a fantastic animal hospital. They have provided my pets with excellent care and friendly service. They don't even mind my fussy chihuahua! They take the time to work with her so she has a positive experience. I'm sure all the vets there are great, but Dr. Evans is the best. She's informative, does not make you feel rushed in the appointment, and always takes time to answer all your questions. She does a very thorough exam even on my fussy dog. I'm moving to MD soon, but will be keeping her as my vet- well wor... read more
I really like this clinic. I see Dr. De la Cruz and think he is great. Not pushy, but informative on all options, and knowledgeable. Friendly and helpful staff.
My dogs have been patients of Caring Hands for years but we moved out of the area in 2024. I am up here visiting with my dog, who they saw in 2023, and realized I forgot her supplement, Dasuquin Advanced (that they prescribed) so I called and asked as a courtesy, could I buy a bag from them. I was told that it was illegal - that not even if her vet in NC called them so just sharing that information. I'm incredibly disappointed that after being a client for more than a decade, that's the best they can do to help a former p... read more

Sue, I’m truly sorry to hear about your experience. We value your long-standing loyalty and understand how frustrating this situation is. Our policies are in place to ensure safety, but we appreciate your feedback and will look into ways to better assist former clients in similar situations.
-Upsells you to purchasing more for your bet than you asked for -Cares more about $$$ than the wellbeing of your animal -Does NOT return phone calls in timely manner -Schedules are NOT flexible Other locations have great reputation, this one does NOT.' I do NOT reccomend this location.
I have been taking my dog there for almost 7 years and I am absolutely appalled about the treatment that I received regarding my dog. The doctors are great there. The staff is great there however, they are manager Katie was unprofessional uncaring, and did not care for my dogs health she was rude to me and because of her I would stay away from this practice, she has zero lack of concern from my dog and his infection and follow up. I called numerous times for follow up from the doctors and usually they do call to follow up an... read more

Hi Ariana, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our veterinary care services. While we were eager to continue providing veterinary care for your dog, we can only do so through respectful dialogue and a polite relationship. We believe that you will be better served by a different animal hospital, and genuinely wish you well.
His veterinarian whose care he was under for 11 years displayed complete and utter lack of compassion and care for my pet when he became seriously ill.
Business response:
Hello, Maha - Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are truly sorry for your dissatisfaction with our hospital. We genuinely believed we provided you and your pet with best-in-class service and compassionate patient care. We appreciate the time you took to speak with our team back in October 2022 about your concerns and agreed that you will be better served by a different animal hospital, and genuinely wish you well.
I have been taking my dog and cats here for more than 10 years. They used to be great but the last two years the service has gone downhill. My dog had some blood work done and it took more than a week to get the vet to call me back. My dog had an ultrasound 8 days ago, the facility sent the results over the same day, and no one will call me back to let me know whether my dog has a tumor. I have called three times and they said it may be 3 more days until that vet is back in the office. This is an unacceptable wait time, when... read more
