This review is specifically for Abner Vilches FNP. Possibly the rudest health care provider I have ever come across. He talks in a very condescending tone to his patients. He also doesn't address his patients in a polite manner. He is not helpful whatsoever. He needs to learn to be kind and communicate with your patients.
If I could give this place NO STARS I WOULD I go for a physical check and DR.ACHA literally doesn't check ANYTHING!! Asks me a few questions, refers me to a specialist and sends me on my way home. Not once did he check my stomach (issues I'm having) just prescribes me the same medication I've gotten in the past, which doesn't work. I've been going to Borrego Health since I was a kid and as I've gotten older, the service is just not it. I don't even remember who my primary doctor is at this facility anymore cause I avoid this place like the plague. I've been seen for concerns about my mental health. I was supposed to be referred to a psychiatrist due to major depression and major anxiety but that never happened and I was supposed to be referred to a dermatologist due to severe allergic reactions to certain cosmetics and that never happened. Was able to go to VIP urgent care and get antibiotics for my sinus infection after this place wanted me to wait 7 days and schedule Covid test and wait for results, they don't provide rapid result tests so want you to go to emergency room which would expose you to Covid. Got right on the phone and called my insurance company and switched providers. Avoid this clinic .
Worst medical provider in the area, avoid at all costs. Wants you to schedule separate appointments for each issue will only spend 5 minutes with you. It's a billing scam. I called today because I have a sinus infection, was given a 5 p.m. phone appointment, they called me at 3 and told me I would have to go in to clinic, then said that first would have to get a COVID test and the results, which would take at least 7 days, or go to the emergency room. I chose to switch doctors. Incompetence at it's best.
Male doctor who was seeing me was the most persistent sales man for the covid vaccine. I was going to take it. But after seeing how hard this doctor tried to sale me on it and was trying to make me feel bad for not taking it earlier. I didn't even say i was against it or anything along those lines. Worst experience ever went there coz I broke my ankle and needed pain meds before I see my orthopedic. Well they put potential Covid patient next to me then when doc yelled at them .. they sprayed Lysol directly towards my side of the room which is separated by a curtain so the smell rashes right up my nose and to my head. Went to take the kid for a physical as primary doctor wasn't available and they would do at urgent care (it could be done by assistant and they stated they could not do) I have seen this place bend sideways for all people that speak Spanish but not for English speaking. They even greet in Spanish. For example, during COVID they had a one person policy, however when doing outside consult, they let the entire family in (which was only Spanish speaking). Where's the ZERO Star option? Apparently continuity of care is not an option at this total joke of health care provider. End of APR I called in a needed refill, it was filled. Three weeks later, I call for appointment with primary to see me after surgery to be told my primary is gone.
