Contacted for assistance troubleshooting an electrical outage at our garage/barn We contacted CET based on excellent reviews here. We have a garage/barn in our backyard, breaker panel inside, and some above-ground outlets in between here and there, and the power went out at the barn. We asked for someone to come out and troubleshoot, and help us identify the problem and hopefully get the electricity turned back on. We've had this problem before, and it was always the above-ground outlets or something else that didn't require... read more

Electrical inspectionI did not think the inspection was worth the effort. It was pretty simplistic

'Repair' of bathroom exhaust fan.Initiated a home warranty claim on a bath exhaust fan that was not removing moisture from the bath appropriately, however, the motor was working. This was causeing water to literally drip down the walls after showering. Technician came out with a new motor in hand and replaced the motor on the fan. Technician was very knowledgeable and timely, and this review is not a reflection on him. However, after the motor was replaced, we noticed the fan was still not exhausting the moisture from the ba... read more

Ceiling fan installationI had them come out on 6/11 to install a ceiling fan and light in my son's room. The existing light was connected to the dimmer switch on the wall. Upon arrival he asked my wife if we still wanted the light on the dimmer, which we did. After completing the work, on his way out the door, he explained that he had wired both the fan and the light to the dimmer switch. This meant that dimming the light also slowed the fan and vice versa. Obviously this is unacceptable, and I have no idea why he would have... read more

After I selected the service and allowed the charge to my credit card, they never followed up. I called them on a Saturday and the receptionist told me that she would have one of the electricians to call me. I never received a telephone call and I want the charge credited my to my credit card. I do not think that it is a good idea to pay any vendor before services are rendered. I will never do it again and especially this vendor. They never showed or followed up.

I called the provider to try to get someone out to do an estimate. It is slightly involved, as was looking for both an estimate on a heavy up or else a full rewiring, plus 2 other jobs, plus I have panels both inside and out with some issues outside. Gary was very rude on the phone, claimed he didn't need to send anyone out to do an estimate as "its a house with 4 walls, right?" and he actually hung up on me. I have NEVER dealt with anyone so rude at a business, ever, in my 46 years.I called the provider to try to get someon... read more

Install 4 lights in living roomThere was 13 huge holes cut in my ceiling and wall. I mean the average size hole is 10 in x 4 in. The price to repairs to holes is twice the price I paid for the deal. No professional would have cut up a house like that to install 4 recessed lights.
