Sheer frustration! Absolutely impossible to get any satisfaction on an installation date for a replacement window . Telephone tag with a mysterious "Melissa" who knows all but is simply impossible to reach. Trip charge paid, window "has arrived" but our story simply ends there!
This is the worst company to work with. I had to wait for over a year to get the job completed. It took so long that the financing that was arranged by Champion expired, and I had to reapply after getting threatened by the salesman. In less than a year after the installation, 2 different windows have broken, and the repair man was not able to fix them. There is no training for the installers.
I had a laundry list of issues with Champion and if I could go back, I would not have given them my business. The whole process was a complete headache. They left a mess in the yard after install (water bottles, nails). They scratched interior walls during the install--to the point where several walls needed to be repainted. The caulk job around the windows look likes it was done by 5-year-old and when a service technician came out to look at it, he simply said "I can't fix it, I will ruin the wood trim around the window" (H... read more
Had all kinds of issues during and after installation. If you want warranty work, while the work is free, they charge a 'TRIP CHARGE' of over $100 to check it out. Recommend a different company.
Do not use Champion! We placed an order for our windows in August 2022 they came out in October to install them. Our front window was messed up and I made multiple attempts to have them come out and fix our window. Most of my texts were left unanswered by the service manager. He did come out once to look at it and did respond to one telling me someone would be out the following day between 1-5 but Noone showed up and he never responded as to why no one did. August 2021: ordered 16 windows (standards and one custom window). Was told it would be 10 to 12 weeks for build and install. November 2021: I make my first call to Champion inquiring into my order. The rep couldn't find any information and said someone would contact me within a week. 1.5 weeks later: I make the second call. Placed on hold while the rep checks, only to get a response that I should hear something in about a week. We made the terrible mistake of installing vinyl siding from Champion on our home despite vinyl siding not being allowed by our home owners association and are now starting the process of having it torn down less than a year after it was installed. We believe the sales person should have known (and highly likely did know) that the subdivisions in our area do not allow vinyl siding. Champion does not honor what is in the contract.....it took champion windows months to put in our windows.Champion still has not pay a $200.00 referral bonus and it's been 11 months...just run from this company....I wonder why the state of North Carolina let this company do any business in North Carolina?
DONT USE CHAMPION! We signed a contract last November to get new windows and when their guy came out he incorrectly measured 4 of the 13 windows. Because of the mismeasrured windows their installers can't out and "made the windows fit." They ended up tearing up drywall and pushing the windows so far in that they left a huge ledge on the outside that would have let water sit and build up, and I couldn't get my blinds back on.
