What a nightmare!! Wish I could leave a zero star rating. At least 20 phone calls to companies they have sent to me and 20 log-ons to the website and I still do not have approval yet to replace my hot water tank. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE! It does not care about your problem. I am in ****, trapped by this company who is making the whole process ridiculously difficult. A waste of money and time . They will do everything they can to not pay or fix the problem even after their contractors tell you something needs to be replaced .

I filed a request on May 23, 2024 to have my a/c unit checked. The result was that it was out of the R22 refrigerant needed. As of today June 27, 2024 all that I have been receiving from Choice concerning my claim is the same message about them being concern, while they are sitting in their air condition offices for an entire month, in the mean time temperatures have been up to 100 degrees as I wait. I have a contract with them that says a contractor would be assigned to a claim in ***** hours. The three times I had a claim were all over 48 hours before a contractor was assigned. They apologized profusely but did not deliver. It was very frustrating. I will not be renewing my contract.

Absolutely the worst service you can imagine theyve gone tremendously downhill. Theyll do everything possible to keep from paying for items covered under the warranty. They have special. Shell talk to basically after discussing basically after discussing with them, theyll just refuse. I had a washing machine out they sent out a technician the technician supposedly fixed it within a week. The machine stopped technician came out and said it was the circuit board. J.N.S. I recommend exercising caution when buying a Choice home warranty. Filed a complaint last year about my toilet running. To this company, the technicians that were sent were unqualified to fix it; there were three of them at three different times, and I had to pay $65 each time. It still did not get fixed by them.. I had to call someone myself and the company that made the toilet and send them pictures so they could help me get it fixed. Do not trust these people, I am a new homeowner and required service and repair of an HVAC system covered under the warranty. The claim I made was determined to be a pre-existing issue without evidence of the issue being pre-existing. I even submitted invoices to prove the issues were not pre-existing and they still denied my claim. When I requested cancelation they took prorated monies despite them never fixing anything after service fees were paid and a 3 week run around about an HVAC system which failed. Apparently, you must give at least one star - this company does not deserve even one. This was once a good company, but now it is terrible. You can never contact them directly. When you leave a callback number, they will eventually respond but then will only contact you via email regarding a claim. The technicians they have sent out so far seemed not to know anything about the issue at hand (leaking water from AC unit). In the past 6 months I've had Choice deny my 25+ year old garage door opener, my 30 year old HVAC system, and now my 5 year old pool pump. They use the same excuse, that I haven't properly maintained my systems, but want no proof of maintenance. I've had Choice since 2016 and I've been reasonably pleased with their service, but they are now obviously doing anything they can to get out of covering major systems.
