Choice Home Warranty runs a scam with the technicians to charge you out of pocket expenses. They are the worst Home Warranty I've come across. I got charged $388 for a part that was still under warranty and I could have had the manufacturer to fix it all for $85 but I was ill advised to pursue repair with the technician provided by Choice Home Warranty who literally made a bogus additional repair that was not previously mentioned. Do not subscribe Choice Home Warranty for any reasons. THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY.

I had a claim for a leaking dishwasher the tech determined that the pump was leaking and needed to be replaced and he would need to order the pump after a second visit it was determined that there was another problem and he would have to order another part choice decided that the dishwasher should be replaced other than repaired no one ever called to tell me apparently there was a email sent to accept the replacement but since I didnt respond to the email in a timely manner my claim was closed, Since I didnt want to be one o... read more

Choice warranty company is a major scam! I only gave them one star, because there is no option for to chose no stars. Do not buy a policy from them! They deny all claims and and you cannot cancel your policy and get a refund for the unused portion. I called Choice Warranty on July 16th because I have a leaking pipe. I received an email that they were sending out a company called ALTA ******** Services. My experience with CHW has been the absolute WORST! I've now been without an ** for a month (since 6/19) and STILL counting. CHW does not have any sense of urgency about my ** issue. When I originally placed my claim they assigned it one company and I was told they were the first available vendor. Once the date arrived for them to come they never showed up so I called. There should be an option for zero stars. This company is not ethical - they are willing to take your money but will find anyway not to pay out on a claim. They pay technicians so little that many service companies refuse to work with them leaving those that will, scraped from the bottom of the barrel in skillset. Additionally, the most recent tech told me that he was told by the company to find a way to deny the claim for my non-working AC unit. After stating it was a pre-existing condition, they wouldn't cover my ** refrigerator. I had the policy for over 1 month and paid two premiums. The company refunded my two payments and refused to make the repairs to get out of their contract. Please don't buy this service because they will pick and choose when and what they want to cover. One star is too much of a score to give them!

I don't have time to give my whole issue, however i think you can see the below reviews and get the sense they are pretty consistent. Had filed an AC issue, found the compressor and coils went bad. Long story short, denied my claim because the technician found it was not due to normal wear and tear. I cant understand how it works for a year then goes out? What substantiates that is was not due to normal wear and tear? I didn't touch the unit just used it. That sounds like normal wear and tear. This company really is just a b... read more

Beware of Choice! Our ** went out June 28th in *******. Choice sent a tech that could not complete the service, by Saturday the ** was off and it was 90 in the house, with three young kids there is no way this would suffice. I ended up paying to have 2 new units installed on a Sunday and the only option Choice gave us was to wait until another tech was assigned later in the following week. I filed a claim re: the need for someone to come look at a leaky toilet; they sent a handyman (that had requested not be sent because of a job he botched 2 years prior. ) He left with my $60 check w/o fixing the toilet; I lodged a complaint against him and was informed he didn't have to look at it because the initial claim stated it was a leak under the sink.
