I wouldnt recommend Clarity Debt to anyone! Twice they made unauthorized bank after explicitly being instructed they were instructed not to attempt. They acknowledged their mistake and asked for a nominal fee before making a refund.

I cancelled with them recently because they kept lying to me and did not seem to know what they are doing. They settled two of my cards after I had a stroke. They owe me $3100 and graduated me from program. They have 7 days to refund the money to my account. The beginning they were great but then they become un trustworthy worthy after multiple lies and instead of calling they were just sending me stuff to sign without talking to me.

They lied and said its debt consolidation when it was debt resolution and I signed off to cancel before the date and a few weeks later they still pulled money for their services that I said I no longer wanted.

Tried to pay off debt acct ($20,000) they were making me jump through hoops. Put in a cancellation request to just pay the cards directly. Just to find out the cards I gave them money to put towards the balance were never paid and sent to a law firm. Thanks for nothing. ???????

Well. Where do I start. I have called Clarity 5x now and leaving my number on a call back. Can't get thru to anybody and no return calls from clarity. I just feel they are taking money from my account and not handling my creditors. As of today my credit tanked and creditors are still calling me everyday. I wish someone would return my call. I wish I had read all the reviews first before signing up for this program. Not feeling 100% satisfied with the company.

I found out this company cold_called my Dad into an expensive debt negotiation " company plan to settle unsecured debt he got from paying moms medical bills with his credit cards. They coached him into $500 a month payment! Yes, I see they are a real company, but wow. Not helpful for an 85 year old man with financial cancer medical landslide of bills. No one with humanity that sees dad's budget would take $500 a month away from him to pay debt that legally and morally was ok to file for bankruptcy protection!Well. My Mom die... read more

Clarity is not transparent at all about the cost to you. They make it sound like your initial amount for settlement is what you have to pay, then they send another notice saying they need more money, which really goes to all the fees not the settlement. Started off as one amount and with each collection the amount owed goes up. With the money I have spent with them I probably could have settled most of it on my own.

Avoid at all costs! Scammers. Promise you that they can help and make it worse. 25% fee on EACH account they help settle. Might as well make arrangments with your creditors directly as I had to do.
