I think it is a terrible co.My phone has not worked since they took over from frontier.I have medical problems and can't contact my dr.from my phone.I am trying to cancel my service but they make it hard to do.

This company has spammed my house with over 100 phone calls in the past month alone. All from different phone numbers but all registered to clear rate. I have asked them to stop calling and keep blocking numbers to no avail. Even if this company wasnt a complete scam, this is no way to treat consumers.

THE WORST!! I only gave them a star because this site forced me too. Terrible, fraudulent business practices! This business called my elderly father asking if he would like 'cheaper phone rates'. Who wouldn't?! They switched him from his previous carrier to their service and then shut off his service when he did not pay the bill that HE NEVER RECEIVED BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE HIS ADDRESS!!! Trouble customer service,I was told my bill would never be over ***** and they made it sound like they partnered with frontier in **. The next day I had no dial tone and was not at my farm. I contacted Frontier and they said to call Clear Rate and I did. The lady was very rude with me and I told her I now have no phone in a area I can't get cell service. SCAM! A woman called and said that Clear Rate is representing Frontier and that they could cut our business line rates by 28%. She gave specific numbers that do not match our current rates, she was clearly thinking that I am not privy to this information as just a person who answered the phone. She told me that just because I answered the call that I had the absolute right to verbally authorize the change even if I was not an authorized decision maker for our company because we would still be with Frontier. If I could rate them as a ZERO I would they have the worst customer service rep and even the supervisor was nasty. the Supervisor *****, *****, **** however he spells his name refuse to give his manager's name, ********* names he also refused to give the address to where I can call or write to higher management about his unwelcoming customer service he showed no concerned that my grandmother had been out of phone service since 08/31/2022 and gave me an expected date of repair 09/09/2022 anytime I called in for phone repairs ... read more

today I received my first bill and it showed a pasr due amount and a threat t cut off my long distance service by Sep. 19. since I had never received any prior bills, I was upset. I found that my long distance was already cut off. Since today is sep.1 I was even more upse. I was contacted supposedly by the parent company of my phone carrier, and told that they were taking my account, as they were separating some of the accounts in the company. This place is a scam!! With very rude customer service!!They called my 75 year old dad lied to him about a cheap phone service .. which my my dad thought it was midco. When I realized what happened I called Clear Rate and explained my dad dint understand. For 2 weeks of service they sent him a **** for 72 dollars. Which I called to disconnect. Now they sent a **** for 174 utterly ridiculous!! Do not get involved with these scammers!!!!
