An absolute horrible experience using Coastal Moving services (boca Raton Fl). the initial estimate was acceptable, which included 2 pieces of exercise equipment. Those 2 pieces were described by name and model numbers, which I was told that the movers would take them apart if necessary and reassemble them when delivered. When the final estimate was discussed I told them that there were 12 boxes which no longer needed to be moved but an large tupperware container was to be added instead. this caused a $100.00 upcharge which ... read more

The sales man working this company mislead price and confidence to me. I paid more than I was quoted with no verbal warning that this might happen. He outbid the other company I was considering and made it sound like I was getting the best rate with him. He sold me the idea that I would be pleased with Coastal Moving Services over any other company and their rates are the best. Wrong. GIANT SCAM!!! Do not use under any circumstances. The represent themselves as a fantastic moving company. They're just a bunch of brokers that contract out useless day laborers to extort you for 2 to 4 times your original quote the day of your move.

I have nothing good to say about Coastal Moving Services just like the other reviews. I was given a low estimate at first to get me to go through with them. As a first time person using a moving services the sales *** took a bare minimum inventory list. Then ** calls and does a detail inventory list which raised the cost 3k so I had to back it down and rent a uhaul to get the small stuff. HORRIBLE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY! They're a broker out of ******* that will NOT help you if there's any problems with who they book you with. They talk a great game until you've paid and then drop you completely. They'll book you with another moving who is absolute crap: Loadrans. 0 stars! I was misled first by *********, who I booked with. I was quoted 2700 total for 600 cubic feet on the truck. The next day, I had to add my washer and dryer and the "quality assurance" guy raised my price up $1000 more. When I spoke with *********, he told me the movers will wrap everything. I cant say enough negative things about this moving service. They come across like a friendly, helpful, budget friendly moving company. DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! Our move took place on 11/21/24. We were scammed just like all the other negative reviews. They initially provide a low estimate and are seemingly professional, friendly and organized to rope you in. I was given a direct number to the contact person to call if I have any questions or concerns. I was told there would be 3 payments with the third being upon delivery. SCAM ARTIST!!! STAY AWAY! It's a trap! They're just phone brokers, low balling you to sign a contract then the nightmare begins; they subcontract out everything from pick up to delivery; don't guarantee anything on the contract.
