I did not have a good experience with Mervis. I bought a diamond with them to bring home and was going to evaluate it further before bringing it back to have it set in a setting that we liked at Mervis. Once I got home, I noticed it had more color than I was looking for (the incandescent lights really soaked the stone). I bought another diamond from another retailer with no color and went to return the original diamond to Mervis. This was our first time at Mervis. I must say it was a very pleasant experience. Deva Helmand assisted us and her recommendations were "on spot." She listened to our desires and provided advice. She also provided information on the artisans/designers of the various diamonds; she stayed with us the entire visit never once having to take another call or make her excuses to assist others. My husband and I went to Mervis for our wedding rings after reading great reviews on customer service and ring quality. With the Diamond Consultant, we looked at a variety of rings. I wasn't super impressed with the selection, but we were both able to find rings we loved. We asked about the timeframe and were quoted three weeks for mine and four weeks for his; experience was pleasant enough but nothing extraordinary. I was engagement ring shopping and I came across Mervis via an online ad. I researched the site and found some rings I was interested in looking at. I sent a message inquiring about some of the designs I found and Sara got in contact with me promptly . Sara was very personable and set me up for a date to come visit. Five stars for Brenda, she was incredibly helpful as well as patient when I visited about engagement ring shopping. Didn't have a prior appointment but was still given preferred customer type treatment as she brought out numerous different options and answered my many questions. Haven't made the big purchase yet, but this was a great place to start the process.

It was an abosolute pleasure shopping for an engagement ring at Mervis. As an NPR junkie having grown up in the DC metro area, when I started shopping for an engagement ring, the first place on my list was Mervis simply becuse of familiarity with the brand and their reputation. My fiancé and I worked with Sara Tosyali and could not have been more happy. Low pressure and knowledgeable and patient. We had gone for a sizing of my fiancé's engagement ring and wanted to also look for a wedding band and upgraded diamond. We left with everything taken care of and all at reasonable prices. No games or gimmicks, just quality merchandise and great service.

Very disappointing. My husband bought my engagement and wedding rings at the Tysons location back in 1993. At the time the sales lady told us they would resize our rings for free at any time in the future. We made an appointment and were told today that not only will they not resize if for free, they want to charge $100 per ring. This is for simple small 14k gold bands and only increasing 1/2 a size. The sales person was very snooty and rude. I called around Richmond and local jewelers here charge about $66 per ring. ... read more

If you go to Mervis which you must do see Fazken Krikorian. He is a professional and knowledgeable jeweler and I know that it was there strong knowledge and amazing customer service which resulted in me purchasing from them. After a thorough discussion about what I was seeking and my budget, Fazken took the time to provide me with copious advice on the 4 C's, Cut, Color, Clarity and Caret.
