Please read "Alert" for Credit Acceptance Corporation. The article is true, I am now having the same problems. This Corporation is deceitful. I cannot believe they are just paying a lawsuit and this is all that is going to happen. They are still continuing to practice the same method. I have tried for yrs, to get out from under them and the only thing they do is keep your credit score down so, you cannot get ahead. If you miss one payment they drop your score by 50+ points. This company without my knowledge increased the APR to *****%, after I signed application contract at 7%. My credit score has always been over 700. This is called usury and now I have this ding on my credit report for 7 years. Credit Acceptance stated they have no knowledge of this increase and will not remove this inaccurate APR from my report.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. This company is terrible and going through them was the biggest mistake Ive ever made. Never ever again I bought a car through them which the car is now 11 years old and I owe way more then this car is worth. It has put me into so much debt that Ill never be able to get out of. If I could give 0 stars I would. The entire time I had a loan with Credit Acceptance, they continued to report inaccurate information to the credit buraus. Back in ************* deleted the account after a dispute because of the continuous inaccurate reporting from Credit Acceptance. So I paid the car off 9/2021, I was so happy to be rid of this deceitful company. FF to today 3/19/22. Scammers . They will tell you there is no early pay off fee and you can pay the balance anytime you want . Then when you try to pay it off they tell you that the interest still needs to be paid . Stay away from these guys.
I never seen a company like this my exwife ************************* bought a car I called to get the car out of the yard as far as I know she hasn't made a payment since July of 2021 and now it March 2022 but no one would talk to me cuz I wasn't on so told them guess we will just keep driving it and think for the free car since you don't want know anything never even got to tell them where it was well she moved from there yesterday I don't know where I guess it doesn't have a tracking device on it so they will never find it... read more
Very rude customer service. I keep getting charges of $22.00 on a payment no explanation. If goes unpaid til next payment which is bi-weekly. The charge just keeps doubling up until you pay it.

Credit acceptance is the worse financial service I have ever had to deal with I purchase a car and could no longer afford it I gave the car back and it was sold at a auction I then settled with them the account was closed. They reported to the irs that the money from the sale of the car and the settled amount was a lost to the company.
