I just had a new sod lawn installed and came out several mornings to see the edges rolled up in several places. My landscaper informed me it was raccoons. I called Critter Control who set up two traps in my yard. Mike is very knowledgeable and friendly. Even though I called in late one morning they picked up the caged raccoon without adding a penalty.

I had a possum problem at the crawling space in my house during COVID. They first gave me instructions over phone to make sure animal was still there. Then they came out to my house with masks to set up the trap to refill the baits. They know what they are doing. Can't thank them enough for taking care my problems.

I'm a big DIY fan so I tried DIY rodent control without any success. So I called Critter Control who sent Dave and Andrew. While maintaining social distance, they quickly crawled into places in our house that I try to avoid and set a bunch of traps. The next day, (at 2:29 a.m. exactly, thanks to our security camera) one of their traps caught a rat as it was trying to get into our crawl space. Like a few others have said, Critter Control of San Jose is easy to schedule and they are very honest and decent. I called a couple of other places and they all told me that they are scheduled out for over 1 week, or 10 days, or what have you, but Critter Control came out today--the same day I called them--on a Saturday no less. Also, Mike just gave me some good advice and did not even charge me. He showed me what to do and said, "Honestly, if it were me, I would not catch them. Responsive and professional. Mike knows his business. He answered immediately and was very professional and knowledgeable. We had a little problem here and he came the morning called and remove our little problem

Mike did our inspection and Steve and crew finished it up. We had some foundation vents that were damaged and noticed a possum and some cats coming to visit us and go into those vents. Mike helped with inspection and training us on how to check the trap, block it off during the daytime, and release cats if they got caught. The trap caught the possum on the 4th day. They sealed off all our foundation vents a few days later. Thank you all for the efficient work! All the guys were friendly and professional.

I can't say enough good things about Chris, Steve and the crew at Critter Control. I had an issue with squirrels in our attic. They came out during the 'shelter-in-place' order following all the guidelines (wearing a mask, keeping distance, minimizing any contact) which we really really appreciated. They set traps in the attic for a week and didn't catch anything. They relocated them outside and BOOM, within 5 days caught 4 squirrels! They came out to remove each one very promptly. Mike gave us great care and advice even though we didn't even pay him. We recently discovered a family of squirrels just above our flue and have been calling around trying to figure out what kind of humane treatment we could offer them. A number of places said they could come out and euthanize them for a pricey fee. Mike, on the other hand, talked us through all the stuff we were seeing and hearing, explained the pros and cons of waiting and in the end gave us a recommendation on how to naturally let them leave in a little b... read more

The guys from Critter Control were very easy to schedule with. They were also friendly and funny so the time they were crawling around my house was easy on me too. They even went above and beyond and handled a bathroom spider that was freaking me out! Highly recommend them!
