Unlike most of the reviews on here, I can categorically state that Cross Creek is a good facility! I was kept informed at all times as to my family member's well-being and doctors, nurses and carers were available to speak to. In addition, packages and messages were delivered and I was able to plan my visits efficiently, as visiting hours are clearly posted on the hospital's website. Joy, Cross Creek's Therapist, was our main contact and she was fantastic! Care was taken to ensure our family member was released into our c... read more
Psychiatric hospitals are very difficult to evaluate since only angry customers tend to write reviews. We had our daughter here after an overdose and it was the third time she had been into a facility like this but our first time here. We are from San Antonio and didn't want to drive the 2 1/2 hrs to see her but it turned out to be the best decision that we made. We were supported by the EMS who said that, of all the places that they go, Cross Creek was one of the better ones. We received a call from the RN who discussed her... read more
Sh*tty hospital. Ex-wife was here (was still married to her at the time). Not competent in so many different ways: - They botched the court request for extended involuntary commitment. By failing to request involuntary administering of medications, she effectively sat there for two whole weeks, without meds. -By the time meds started, insurance company questioned her need to be there. Hospital could not adequately represent her condition leading to denial of benefits for nearly two of the 6 weeks she was committed ($18k),... read more
Pros and cons to this hospital. My 18yr old daughter was sent here after a suicide attempt. Acceptance to the hospital was fast and easy. Location was easy to get to. Communication from staff about visiting hours, telephone visits and what items to bring was poor. My daughter complained that the food quality was poor and housekeeping was very poor. On the positive side, the doctor was able to put her on medication that helped her. The psychology staff could've have done a better job (in my opinion) by being honest about her... read more
my brother was put to that hospital for get a help for one week.. this hospital is so amazing! they help him get better before he discharged from that hospital. they provide you everything to help you get better. I'm going to say this hospital is so best for him or anyone. if it happens to me I definitely will go there again if I don't feel safe or something. He said he feel so safe when he were there.
We tried a different hospital before this one and Cross Creek was head and shoulders above it! They had a method of therapy that was much better suited to our family plus the administrators and doctors were much more responsive to our questions. I would definitely use them again.
I only wish I had read these reviews before making the decision to admit myself to Cross Creek for anxiety and depression in Feb. of this year. Unfortunately, Cross Creek is at the top of a list of mental health care hospital providers which is handed out to patients at Integral Care Austin. My experience at CC was traumatizing and to be honest the less I force myself to remember the better. Even though I was a voluntary admission, I still needed their staff psychiatrist sign-off for discharge, which after five days I beg... read more
cross creek doesn't provide any type of therapy... many workers are very rude. i asked for a journal or paper on the second day of my stay and didn't get it till i was about to be discharged. the doctors were virtual and there was no record of any of the pills i was given after being discharged
Update: add THEFT to the list of grievances. I received a phone call from a staff member. She stated that I left a piece of jewelry there. It was an anklet. Unfortunately, I mentioned it was silver, and her voice changed. She said silver very excitedly. Then she offered to mail the item to my home. I asked if I could have a tracking number for the item and she said no. I NEVER RECEIVED THE ANKLET. Things like this are occuring at cross Creek for obvious reasons.
