They don't have much in the way of gluten free or dairy free foods. They don't give you your heart medications as prescribed by cardiologist. They don't allow you much in the way of sleep because the other patients are always screaming or crying all night. They do not know how to treat PTSD so if you're a veteran stay away from this place. I heard there are places worse than this and can't fathom the thought of someplace worse than this. The whole floor woke up freezing one night because they ran the A/C all night when it wa... read more
They serve NO VEGAN FOOD, the chef is an asshole and it is crazy town. They don't care and there is no counseling or encouragement. No peace of mind and no you cannot leave voluntarily. It's hell for someone with ADHD. It's a locked unit. I felt in prison yet no enforcement with met hitting on woman. The staff does not care.

Admissions area are unsafe with doors that don't lock. Staff aggressively antagonizes patients causing them to snap, which results in placement in a higher level of care, and thus make more money. Short staffed. Staff rages up and down the hallways with their tablets just openly saying how horrible this place is. I mean, how is this safe or even legal? The risk to Acadia Healthcare and Ascension Texas is enormous. I've contacted the values line for ascension and Acadia health. I have case numbers. If you are a victim... read more
As the mother of a young man needing in-patient care, I had a terrible experience. Our direct admission took 3.5 hours. I took my son brand new clothes still with tags because it had gone from warm weather to freezing weather. He never got them and I have now called 5 times and each person I talked to, from patient advocate to unit nurse to nursing supervisor, apparently brushed me off saying they would go look for the clothes and then never called me back. When my son was discharged, it had to be on a Saturday and there ... read more
Neglect of patients. I personally witnessed a woman with a spider bite have to suffer for multiple days until the moment she collapsed. The nurses didn't help or believe the woman until she fully collapsed. The woman lost bladder control nothing was done. They left her sitting in her urine soaked clothes on the floor of the bathroom, crying, and begging for EMS. Avoid Cross Creek like the plague! Additionally, reverse racism exists, and is present at this facility. The patients shouldn't have to wear ear plugs, but at Cross... read more
I agree with others that I would give one star if possible and that this place is violating several patient rights, breaking laws, and should be shut down. I went completely voluntary and have sought mental health help before that was life-changing for me which is why its so upsetting that this is some peoples first experience seeking help and that they wont do so again because of this hospital. DO NOT GO OR SEND A LOVED ONE HERE. I have a long story regarding my stay here and will be filing a formal complaint against the ho... read more
Someone stated that if there could be a zero star, that would be what I would give this place! When you can't tell the employees from the patients, yes it's that bad, there's a serious problem. They tell me that they gave me all of my stuff, but I've got two tags on my stuff that are still showing up in the hospital-my wallet with all of my IDs, being one of them, but they won't let me in there to find it. Incompetence at its peak! Thank God I have AirTags on my stuff, or they would falsely claim that I was delusional! It's ... read more
Abusive and Neglectful (no star) As background, Christopher was hospitalized following a broken femur and complications related to his mental illness, including a recent suicide attempt. Upon his admission, Stephanie Hernandez, the caseworker, informed us that he would remain in care for approximately 45 days to address both his physical rehabilitation and mental health needs. However, I was recently contacted by Gabriella, another staff member, who stated that Christopher is now scheduled to be released after only a few d... read more
