Cross Creek is one of the worst hospitals I've been to. I was admitted during the September of 2020. Before being admitted, I had sprained one ankle and broken the other so I was in a wheelchair and had a cast. My first 2 days there, I couldn't take a shower cause they didn't provide a protector for my cast, to prevent it from getting wet. My third day, I asked again and one of the staff members got a plastic bag and used scotch tap to stick it to my leg. Of course the scotch tape didn't hold so I had to go to the hospital t... read more

This is a holding pen for mentally challenged and brain damaged individuals. They did nothing for a friend of mine even though they spent around 30 days there. Further, they stole almost all their belongings (clothes, shoes, etc.) even though I specifically told them that they have a history of doing so. They don't return calls regarding coordinating release or the stolen items. If you can have any decision power over a hospitalization - stay away from this hell hole of an excuse for a "hospital". Most importantly - my ... read more

I wouldn't send my worst enemy here - the only reason I wound up here is my employer's EAP told me it was a good place when I was having issues. No structure. It's mostly chaos - Netflix and chill if you're in the "good" unit, but they'll randomly take the remote away and turn everything off. Good luck if you're on medications that require any kind of regular dosing regimine, they hand out meds whenever they want. They also lock you out of your rooms during the day.

Dear World, I was released this afternoon on 5/8/23. I will admit that I have been to other Psychiatrics Hospitals in the past. This one is by far the worst hospital I've been in. My expectation was to attend as many groups as they had; I did, I complied. I was serious about my treatment. The intake process took 12 hours. Ok, fine. Something to do in the waiting ROOMS would be a good thing for us. And I guess it would also depend on the mindset of the patient. Books, coloring (crayons - not harmful), crossword, word s... read more

I know someone that was put in there resently and the staff is horrible. Can't get any answers, get the run around. They say l will get someone to call you back. This has has been on going since April 4th 2023. Phone just rings when you are calling them or they tell you this is answering service and l can get a message to them. Guess what NO CALL BACK. And they hold a LICENSE for what. Apparently they do not do their JOB. They have roachs, patient's as well as staff touching on them self's and touching the so called food ... read more

My friend was there two weeks. He has schizophrenia. They took him off almost all his meds. For 6 months he had severe delusions - never like this in 15 years - to the point of endangering himself & others. Staff is frequently having sex with each other in supply rooms & other places.

If I knew how bad it was going to be, I would have just killed myself. I requested to leave multiple times, and was basically told "stay here voluntarily or we'll get a court order to keep you here" (illegal as fuck since I was there 100% voluntarily) There's a schedule for therapy and group activities posted on the wall that wasn't followed AT ALL. Some days there would be no group therapy. We were rarely allowed outside. The staff were unhelpful and disrespectful I sometimes missed my medication because I'd get ignored wh... read more

I wish zero stars was an option. I was locked in here for 31 days a few years ago. 31 days. It was one of the worst experiences of my life, and I have extreme complex PTSD from physical, verbal childhood abuse, sexual trauma, and multiple episodes of psychosis and other terrifying hospitalization experiences. I have Bipolar type 1 with psychotic features. I was in manic psychosis when admitted. I acknowledge the need for me to be hospitalized for my own safety at the time. But Cross Creek was terrifying. Fucking terrifying. ... read more
