A Nightmare Disguised as Care If I could give negative stars, I would. My experience here was traumatic, dehumanizing, and inexcusable. What is advertised as a place for healing and help is, in reality, a cold, chaotic, and at times abusive environment. The staff (with a few rare exceptions) were either apathetic, overwhelmed, or outright cruel. Understandable that there are protocols & limitations to what admin desk operator can do or information they can provide. Over the course of a week however, I have been stuck in a loop of messages going into a void. (Despite being on the "ROI") These operators are simply rude & unable to communicate with even the amount of empathy required to work a fast food counter. just got discharged from here today. came in for alcohol detox and a mental health crisis. i waited in admissions for almost 2 hours while actively withdrawing from alcohol. took another 30 minutes to get the appropriate detox meds. they did it right the first day then just started giving them to me "as needed" they are obviously not familiar with alcohol withdrawals as you can have a seizure and die from them. every time i would ask for something as simple as soap, scrubs , or pads, they would say they'd "get back to me " a... read more

1. Do not ever consider taking employment here. You will end up locked down in a Psych facility yourself. Lack of intelligence and professionalism is non existent. Unless Ascension wised up and fired them all when they partnered. a. Unethical and Cruel to patients. b. No support-administration is more concerned with what they are going to order for lunch and how they can spend money on themselves instead providing supplies for the floor staff. This was my second hospitalization and the second worst hospital I went to out of 6 total. I was 14 and was there in 2020. I was in a wheelchair at the time because I had broken my right leg and sprained my left ankle before the hospitalization. Since I had a cast, I couldn't take a shower without something to cover it. Ok - reviewing while still here with my son. Been sitting here 5 hours inside an intake room. We've seen people for perhaps all of 15 minutes out of that five hours and the intake process isn't anywhere near complete. This is by far the single worst experience I've experienced at any medical facility in my life. If your life depends on it avoid this place at all costs.
