selecting and purchasing my dresses was pleasant and memorable ... unfortunately i have to say after picking my dress up today, the entire experience for me was RUINED. and sadly all over a simple white garment bag. that’s right, apparently i am crazy to expect a garment bag to go over my very detailed, incredibly beautiful, once in a lifetime wedding gown!!! at least in the eyes of the manager on duty did. she handed me my dress in a thin clear plastic bag, similar to a dry cleaning bag and quickly sent me on my way. a... read more

I was told I’d be on hold for a “moment” & I was on hold for 30 mins before I hung up! Ridiculous. I hung up and called David’s bridal in Dearborn and they helped me within 5 minutes. If it was an issue, I should of been told to call back or should of gotten a call from someone there. Really terrible communication skills.

I am deeply disgusted with the experience I've had with this David's Bridal store. They have ruined my perfect day, i trusted them with my wedding party needs and they failed. My bridesmaids (11 in total) all ordered their dresses in January. It is now May 11th and we are 29 days away from my wedding. If you decide to buy a dress at David's Bridal, do not allow them to handle any alterations. Take your dress elsewhere for alterations. I was measured and charged over $200 upfront to take in my wedding dress. No hemming required. I showed up for my 2nd fitting tonight expecting perfection, given the price point. The straps didn't fit. The waist was 3" too big. I pointed out these issues and was informed by my alterations consultant that the issue was that I was "too tiny" and "had no butt." NEVER again will I ever step foot in one of these stores. First visit we couldn't get anyone to help us since we weren't spending a small fortune. Second, ordered a dress a size bigger than needed and went to pick it up tonight and to my amazement it did not fit. "Store manager" turned around and asked if we needed help. I had such a poor experience, I am so disappointed. Firstly, when I went for the first time, the person who “helped” me was no help at all. She was more concerned with the wedding party that walked in after me. She gave me a choice of three dresses (none in my size). I walked out. Horrible. After you put your dress on layaway, if you even make that far ( I had to book 3 different appts to get one decent associate to help me) you can completely hang up the customer service. Then I needed to remove a zipper and add 2 inches to the corset already on the dress after being told it shouldn't be full price, I was informed full price would be charged because they would have to do an entirely new corset.
