Very unimpressed with the South Portland location! During our visit (we had an appointment) we were pretty much left to pin up our bridesmaids dresses ourselves because there weren't enough employees to manage all the appointments and run the store at the same time. Then we were told an approximate date of arrival for our dresses which turned out to be no where near when the dresses would actually arrive. Davids bridal RUINED my dress. I am so beyond upset!!! I called corporate today but being at work i missed the call from an Angela at 630. I call right back and I'm told they closed at 530. I don't understand if they are closed how I got a call from this Angela. I better get a new dress, and one without alterations because my dress is just HORRIBLE. I have had the worst experience with this company and I worn people to STAY AWAY!!!! RUN RUN RUN before they try to ruin your day too.
Worst experiences I've ever had! Made an appointment to try on dresses and when I got there they told me they couldn't take me because they took in a walkin instead. Eventually they helped me and I bought a $1500 dress. They never told me it was in, I called and they were rude saying "it's been in". I asked if I need to make an appointment to get it taken in and they said no. So, I go to get sized and when they get my dress they hang it up and say "here". For my bridal appointment I was very disappointed. The girl that was helping me was just trying to play dress up and I was not having it. I just wanted to run out that door and not come back. I'm an adult and my dress shopping is not a game. I did not get my wedding gown here. Then later I came in for my bridesmaids dresses because the price is okay. David's Bridal is literally the worst company I have ever had to deal with in my entire life. It has been nothing but a nightmare! The day I bought my dress was great, but after I had signed that receipt I was stuck and got nothing but bad attitude and no help at all. I bought a dress that had to be special ordered and when I got it it looked nothing like the one I tried on and the lace was wrecked. Terrible customer service. Incredibly unorganised management. Lazy staff and unknowledgeable consultants. No privacy and no mirrors in the actual dressing room. I had to ask my "consultant" to help zip me up every time I tried on a dress. Total madness in there. Women walking all over the entire store like chickens with their heads cut off. I had an appointment for a bridal consult and since I waited over an hour for my consultant to show up, i chose a few dresses. From my cousin and friend Anna Proctor Anna Proctor So the LOVELY David's Bridal in Charlotte called me MONDAY and informed me that my dress was ready to be picked up and it HAS to be picked up within 7 days, I said great, I'll be there Saturday. I get there, and they rudely tell me it was suppose to be picked up yesterday. I said oh no, y'all called me Monday, it's Saturday, not 7 days yet.
