worst customer service experience ever. I was trying to purchase a part for an aftermarket application, but need the specifications on the part, as it was not listed on the website. I provided part number to the rep., and he stated I needed to give the VIN, or make and model for the application to check the specs on the part. that information was pointless because my application was aftermarket. he started he was not able to provide the specs on the part. If it was possible to give 0 stars I would. My husband purchased front and rear brake pads and rotors for my SUV. To our surprise, we received front rotors and rear brake pads. Turns out they were out of stock for the front brake pads and rear rotors. Common sense would be to cancel the entire order. Not sure what you expect someone to do with one and not the other. One of the worst places to buy parts, Everytime without fail something is wrong, missing or for a completely different vehicle all together, returns have too be shipped back even though there's 2 locations close to me and you have to pay for the return shipping, I've wrote it off more than once and yet here we are again, definitely the last time I'm ever going to order parts from here.
Website states "Orders will be shipped the same business day" but my order didn't even have a label made for two weeks. I needed my parts sooner, so I called to cancel, but have been listening to loud music on hold for eleven minutes so far....Update...now I'm being told to call back in two hours! Very unprofessional customer service...........
Was very happy with this website and the products that i received up until the very last item that i bought. I received the wrong part so i contacted customer service to return the part for a refund. I was told that i would have to pay a Return fee for this, mind you I never installed this part on my car. This is the second order with Detroit axle I have placed....and here we are again... since last sunday when the order was placed, the fedex status has been label created.. ok, so the shipping is free.... still no part as of today no shipping movement... so I log into the chat window... and the person advises me oh, the order was referred to our texas loaction, the shipper will be sent to you in the next 24-48 hours... Bought brand new bearing with abs sensors. 1 sensor is bad and they won't replace without 85.00 for shipping.
Ordered part March 1st. Notified that it had shipped on March 2nd and should arrive March 5th. As of March 7th, fed ex says they have not received the package. I call customer support and a woman told me something about another wearhouse shipped it and I would receive a new tracking number....what does that even mean?? Detroit axle definitely received my money though.
I ordered a set of pads and rotors, the wrong parts have been sent to me twice and I still do not have the correct parts and the correct parts are not on their way. I have had 5 phone conversations and countless text messages and emails with customer support with no resolve. I requested contact information for their CEO so that I can make him aware of how I have been treated by Detroit Axle but no response on that either.
