My first order for a steering rack went great. So much so I bought another for my other car. After my mechanic removed the old unit & got ready to install the Detroit Axle unit, they noticed the bolt the held the heat shield was broken off in the rebuilt rack & painted over. Now my car is sitting, all apart, on their lift. I had a choice to make. Pay the shop to reinstall the original rack, wait for a replacement, and then pay to do the work all over again. I ordered Part #10PR1900282 (Drilled & slotted rotors and ceramic brake pads) for a customer owned 2013 Dodge Charger R/T. After installing this brake kit the brakes had a horrible squeaking noise that came from 3 of the 4 wheels. I called Detroit Axle and was advised that the "10 year warranty" only covered 1 component unless I provided a statement/bill from a certified mechanic/shop. I bought a Rack n pinion and tie rods to go with it. The tracking li k they gave me is no good. The Tracking Number they gave me is a no go at UPS,FEDEX and the USPS. Ive messaged them twice asking where my package is, who is shipping it and whats the real tracking number!!! I have recieved no response!!!!! I give them 1 more day to fix this then i call call my Credit card company to get my money back. This is no way to do Buisiness!!!!

I bought a full set of 4 hub asemblies for my malibu and it just so happens that one of the hub assemblies is bad from the factory and they expect me to pay shipping for them to send me a replacement part.. I woill never make another purchase or recommend that anyone purchase any product from Detroit Axle. Beyond pissed. Thats what you get when you dont read the fine print. Buyers Beware!!!
Purchased a transmission from them, it didn't work. It took them 3 months to send a replacement transmission, guess what? they sent me the wrong one. It'll probably be another 3 months before I get a refund or replacement. Meanwhile I've been making car payments on a vehicle since june that doesn't work. I spent my hard earned money just to have them literally jerk me around. I called or emailed every week for months just for them to finally send a replacement to their original bad transmission with one not for my vehicle.
I ordered 4 parts for my truck and UPS damaged the box and lost most of my order. So I filed a claim with UPS and they paid the claim to Detroit axle so y’all sent out the remaining parts I didn’t receive and sent me a new tracking number. Drove up to Detroit Axle and they are exchanging my part with no problem. Do not listen to the customer service reps thats say you can't.
Not a huge fan of customer service. I ordered over $400 worth of parts. In order for them t[ not even deliver all of them. I hadn3 packages. Received 2 of them then after calling all the time I finally received the third. Once I got my parts I was super stoked to put them on. I take a whole strut off to find out they sent me the wrong one. I'm in bit of hurry for the part so asked them if I could exchange. I could come out there. They said NO.
