Declutter the desk Pros: With Dialpad, there's one less thing on my desk. I like the mobile app that enables me to make and receive calls wherever I am. Cons: Occasionally the mobile app doesn't work, especially after an Android update. The blackout period is not fun.
Works most of the time Pros: It's easy to use, and travel friendly. Able to use it on my laptop and personal cell Cons: quite a few daily glitches. Problems calling out and forwarding features don't always work properly Overall: It has been an easy tool for office purposes. Still has some kinks to work out. Customer service has been helpful, but they can only do so much
Thumbs up. Pros: Easy to use. No real issues to mention. Cons: Nothing that stop or prevents call. I like it. Overall: I use it all the time.
Dialpad: Extra Effort Required Pros: It does work; I can make and receive phone calls. Cons: I found the desktop computer interface difficult to use. I just couldn't get used to all the steps involved with answering the phone in the time before it went to voicemail. My co-worker has the optional desk phone, which I think would be a better solution for me. Great Service Pros: Dialpad works great across all devices. I especially like the ability to answer a call on a desk phone and be able to seamlessly transfer the call to my cell phone. Also, all devices have the ability to place a call on hold, transfer a call, and adding another caller. Cons: In the past, there have been some issues with hold music playing in the background of transferred calls and Dialpad apps being sluggish. Dialpad Pros: Easy to set up and use. The benefits of using phones in the cloud is awesome! Cons: It's difficult getting in touch with support. Overall: We get to keep everything in the cloud!
Overall Impressions Pros: Convenience of having a phone on the computer, and as a smartphone app Cons: Sometimes the software repeatedly asks me to log in. Not sure why. Many times I see my account gets deleted, and I have to make a request to get it re-instated. Overall: Neutral. It is still better than a standard desk phone, tied to the office desk.
Dialpad as main office phone Pros: The software is very easy to use. Call quality is better than we've seen with other similar applications. It is easy to receive messages (voice mail) and texts and I love that it can all be done in one place through one interface. I use a desk phone becasue I make a lot of phone calls, but it integrates seamlessly between the desk phone, application on my computer and my cell phone.
